Knowing that St. Johns has the talent, depth, and ability to get hot and win our tournament to quite possibly get 6 teams in. Unfortunately the Red Storm peaked earlier than I thought and it now looks like 5 is the maximum.

MQ really hurt itself with the early season results.
Gtown has an extremely difficult schedule left.

And as crazy as a 3 game losing streak for NOVA sounds...I can see them losing @Providence which is a tough place to play when they are focused (see Creighton win). And it would not be a stretch for them to lose to maybe the best team in the conference TODAY in the Jonnies. The next couple weeks will be interesting.

Good points - especially about St. John's winning the BE tourney. For them, it's all home games.

You mean the same SJU that won by 1 at SHU this week? Pump the brakes a touch. If they had lost that game, we'd be all talking about how inconsistent SJU is. Do they have talent? Yes. But when you trail the 1st & 2nd place teams by 4 games, you can't be considered the league's best today or tomorrow.

1. CU
2. Nova
3. SJU/Xavier/Gtwn/PC/Marq (interchangeable from game to game)
Go Nova!

To be fair, despite all the Big East Tournament games being home games in theory for St. John's, they've only won the Big East Tournament once since 1987 (2000), and haven't even reached the semifinals since then.
Al McGuire: "What is this?"
Waiter: "Mr. McGuire, that is a cull lobster. Sometimes when the lobsters are in the tank, they fight. This one lost a claw."
Al McGuire: "Well then take this one away and bring me the winner."

This year sets up so much better for St. John's though. In the past the combo of fan apathy due to them being lousy and invading hordes of Syracuse and UConn fans left SJU with no home-court advantage at all. This year the fans will be up for it (well, at least I hope they will be). And no invading hordes.

Isn't Creighton bringing seemingly half of Omaha(oh no, just heard Peyton Manning in my head) to the BET?

3000 Creighton fans will be there. Does that not count as a "horde"?
"When you lose a program like Creighton, there's no sugarcoating it," Valley Commissioner Doug Elgin said. "It's a devastating loss. They're going to go on and have success in the league they've joined." Yahoo Sports, October 10, 2013.

While undeniably impressive no that's not a horde. 10,000 people wearing Orange, that was a horde.

St. John's AND Providence beating Villanova this week would help....

Marquette beating Creighton tomorrow would help in getting 6 teams in, X and Hoyas beating the Bluejays wouldn't hurt either. :D
