To be fair, the weather here is pretty brutal today.

Just looking back at the play by play of the Creighton-Butler game. MCDermott hits a three pointer down 2 with 47 secs to play. If he misses, Butler rebounds and can likely salt away the clock and then start shooting free throws. Incredible shot in the moment by Doug.

Here's the problem.

Both Nova and CU played, for them, subpar games at Hinkle. Both went down to the wire but ultimately went their way, though. But Nova passes the eye test and CU doesn't?

The fact is we're playing well below our capabilities the last four games and we're 3-1. Can we beat Cuse? I doubt it because that's our Kryptonite, but every team has someone that's a horrendous matchup. Actually we're a horrendous matchup for Nova, since their D (the only one they play) leaves 3s open. And even with a much less ridiculous showing they'd have gotten boat raced anyway in Philly. Not guaranteeing a win or anything on Sunday, but they have problems with the way we play based on the way they play.

Call it both ways.

I heard him clearly talk about Elijah Brown's Dad/Coach, not Austin. You're hearing voices. Say a prayer to Saint Dymphna, patron saint of the demented :D

Hand, that is a fair assessment. Everyone does have matchup nightmares-- teams they do not want to see in the Tourney. I try to be honest with my assessments of all teams, including Butler. I wish you guys luck, and I do mean this, bring us lots of money via credits and make me eat my words-- make a F4!!

Wow, I have lost my marbles. In the final couple of minutes, I thought I heard him talk about how it must be disappointing for Austin Chatman because his father finally had time to see him play due to a break from the Cavs and things didn't work out at the end of the game.

Geographically NJ is very close to NY, but actually getting there via mass transit or even driving is another story. No call on that Sanchez dunk? Auda knocked right into him and Sanchez barely made the dunk because of the contact. That's an and-1. We are also not allowed to block shots. Totally taken out of the game. Whatever…this is a severely undermanned SHU team…but it's a dog fight…of course. I see way too much standing around on offense, telegraphed passes, and frustration shots. If we have this much trouble with a shadow of a bad SHU team then this is scary. Feels like early season again.
