And I hate this "be glad you're in the BE" crap. Well, naturally we are, but you should be glad the three of us joined. If you think that's laughable, look at the collective performance of the C7 this year.

Again, prove your worth when the chips are down. You are fielding an all star team right now. You won't have any of your big scorers next year. Saying you will be humbled fast is not a shot at your team or talking down to you…it's just true. You just came from the MVC. You had your core intact with all the big scorers and the POY. Going to say it now: Creighton will be Butler next year. No disrespect to Butler…they will be fine once they reload but this year they are just overmatched.

I gua-ran-damn-tee ya Creighton will NOT be getting a 18pnt lead at the Garden Sunday night.

Defensive I`d play it the same way, let McDermott get his. We let him get his @ Creighton and it still way a tie game until he hit that last shot.
Only in the last 4minutes I`d double him and make someone else beat us, and glue Pointer on Wragge.

Offensively we need to play up tempo full court all game, that`s how we got back in the game @ Creighton.

Hope DePaul plays them real physical, Creighton believes the game should be played at arms-lenght away from the guy with the ball. Everyime there was contact I think the crowd was over the top and think they influenced the refs.

Don`t believe me well watch the game Friday night.

Someday maybe you'll have sellout crowds and you can hear, in person, what it sounds like when a fanbase supports its team.

Correction - maybe someday you'll have sellout crowds of your OWN fans. I forgot that Syracuse fans having been turning your arena into their home gym for years.

Your boy Harrison has some sweet lines shaved in his eyebrows. I haven't seen a fresh look like that since Vanilla Ice.

lol
So are you guys gonna play as a team this time, or will Doug have to save your asses again?
No whining and bitching when we get physical on Sunday night ok? In the B.E. the game isn`t played at arms lenght away from the ball carrier, if ya want that then go back to the MVC where Wichita St. would smack ya around.

I`m seriously looking forward to Sunday night.

How about not whining about Doug not playing fair every time he beats your guy? Seriously, the whole "well we'd have won if you didn't have an All-American who can almost single-handidly beat our whole team with his chicken wing move" argument is really pretty pathetic.

In case you haven't been paying attention, CU handled a "physical" Cincinnati team in the NCAAs pretty well last year, and went through the first round of your "physical" Big East 8-1 this year. Ever since the announcement last spring, we have been hearing how CU wouldn't be prepared to handle the "physical" Big East. Guys are certainly more altheltic in the Big East top to bottom. But, the MVC has some players who match up athletically with just about anyone in the Big East. Just not as many. And, as it turns out life in the lane in the MVC was no less physcial than it is in the Big East, which is why CU has been able to handle Big East teams that rely on physicality rather than basketball skill. These guys are used to teams trying slow them down with physical play. Some times it works. Most of the time, it hasn't. Frankly, I think SJ is somewhere in the middle of the pack in terms of "physicalness" in the Big East this year. Your guys are long and quick, but they aren't anywhere near "physical" like Marquette or Georgetown.

My personal opinion is that SJ is really starting to gel and a fun team to watch. But it appears to me from watching their last several games (including CU in person) that their recent success isn't from being "physical", but from combining their quickness and ability to make teams pay for a lazy or sloppy pass or ball handling with finally starting to make some shots out of their half-court offense. TO's get you more possessions, but if the other team gets back and plays defense those extra possessions don't amount to much unless you can make some shots other than fast break lay-ups and dunks.

I will be hugely dissappointed if you see CU commit some of the silly turnovers they did last time around. I think you will see a much more focused attention to taking care of the ball. Whether we shoot well enough to win on our first go around in the Garden remains to be seen. That has me more concerned than physical play.

I can't wait for Sunday to be over just so we can let this conversation die.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

About time to lock this thread up since it's dated and has since turned sour. Let's keep it on topic in the game day threads without resorting to belittling and insulting each other's programs please.
