Its going to be a huge battle on Sunday, and the quick turnaround this weekend after 10 days off (playing Friday night, then having to fly all the way to NYC on Saturday to play Sunday) is going to be an issue.
That`s why if I`m Lavin, I`d press Creighton all game long, and tire them out.
plus they hate the press even when they they 4 or 5 days off.

We have the depth to do it like the Nolan Richardson Arkansas teams of the 90s
Give them 94feet of hell for 40minutes.

You seem like a good poster, so I`m cool with you.

Some CU been talking junk on SJU for a few months, but we started 0-5 so I was stuck on "shutup".
Now SJU is finally playing like I expected to the whole season (if not for Doug, we have a 6 game winning streak.)
So whoever want to smack on SJU, well I love smacking back.

I know lavinwood and some other say things that rub other fans the wrong way, but saying SJU and their fans (as a whole.), are the worst in the B.E, Well that`s including me.
So yep I`ll definitely smack back, got no problem doing that.
St John's has always had the potential, so I was more shocked that they started 0-5, but I figured at some point in the season they would get it together. I didn't know what to expect last Tuesday night when St. John's came into Omaha - and I was impressed by your Johnnies, and thought that if they had shot the ball better - CU would have entered the second half of conference play with 2 losses. But Dougie took advantage of all the opportunities that St John's gave him and basically pulled the team on his back and willed them to a win. Some games are like that, but I fully expect the game on Sunday night to be different. I think Lavin will focus more D on Doug, and this will help the Jays' role players get into the game a little more. I don't expect Wragge to only get off a couple threes, in fact, I expect him to have a much better game as well as Manigat and Chatman. The wild cards are how Gibbs is feeling, and getting some good production off the bench - Artino, Zierden, Dingman, etc. This will be a good one, and I expect the Jays to get St John's best shot Sunday night.

Man I wish this game was already this Friday. If Creighton keeps St. John's on the perimeter shooting jump shots for the most part Creighton will win. If St. John's dribble drives consistently, it will take an "A" shooting game to win. Creighton also needs to take care of the ball much better in transition to avoid a repeat turnover performance. Wow, you got to love a match up like this of two opposing teams and styles. I do think playing at MSG gives Creighton a better chance than playing at Carnasecca. It really helped the Jays out when they played off campus against Villanova IMO.

my 2 cents... the only way Creighton loses is if Shoot DMC makes playing at the Garden more than it is and has a bad game. I think Creighton isn't affected by St. John's length . Also, Creighton is fundamentally sound while St. John's is not. Creighton will find the open guy and has enough shooters to make St. John's pay when they are lazy on their defensive rotations.

I am glad its on Sunday IMO, i am looking forward to Lumberjack night Friday night at the C-Link... Hail Wragge!!! The DePaul game should be a good opportunity to get warm after the break and roll into New York with some momentum. The 10 day break was great for the team, but as a CU fan, it kind of stunk... This weekend is going to be great!!! Go Jays!

Very presumptuous of you. I hope the team is taking DePaul more seriously.

Forgive me ljay for looking ahead... As always there is a chance of an upset, but the Jays should come out Friday ready to play hard and have a great game. It could always work the other way and leave them cold, at least at the start - the Jays match-up pretty well against DePaul, and with a loud and rowdy Friday night crowd - the Jays "should" win by double digits... but I guess that's why they actually play the games. Guess I should say, hoping for a great weekend 8-)!

Seton Hall winning AT Xavier proves that no team in the Big East should be overlooked.

Very true, point taken... one game at a time. Hoping for a solid Jays performance on Friday night, and we'll see what happens.

If that is the case then why didn't you guys do it the first time? You didn't have an open shooter besides Dougie getting open on his own all game. Our Defense is smothering and the support for Dougie isn't athletic enough to to force an opening and get a shot off. Thats why Wragge had his first shot like 5 min into the second half.
