Please, Derossier was just as guilty on that whole incident. Pointer was walking away and the white goofy dick grabbed him by the arm and started shit talking trying to provoke him and the rest of the team.

Fouling him or not, if you really are letting them run the clock out don't trap him and try to create a turnover.

If you don't like SJU or NYC then tough, because you'll all be seeing more of both in the second half of the season. Line up because we got some payback to dish out. Last night Providence got a taste now it's Dougie Micks turn. I'd say Creighton, but we all know they are just a one trick pony.

I have no problem playing the bad guy.

Honest question here. Why is any criticism of SJU, Lavin, or particular players on SJU always taken as "anti NY"?

I have come to generally dislike SJU, its fans, and its players over the last couple of weeks. The game in Omaha was a lot of fun to watch -- but Pointer took a cheap shot at McDermott's throat in the middle of the game, which gave me reason to dislike him. SJU's most vocal fans -- and it's not all of them, for sure -- have been generally pretty pompous and instigating on here in the last couple of weeks. Tin foil hats and worldwide conspiracies against the Johnnies apparently abound and have for the last several years, explaining all kinds of "bad luck" and pretty much every loss the program has ever had. My personal opinion is that DeRosier was absolutely right to commit a hard foul to avoid a needless dunk when the game was over, and my viewing of it made it appear that he specifically tried to give the hard foul without actually risking any harm. I then saw Pointer throw an elbow at DeRosier as he walked away -- something not a single SJU fan seems to have seen, based on the comments here. Probably some blame to go around there, but it was absolutely the wrong thing for Pointer to do to try to go in for a dunk there.

All that said, I FREAKING LOVE NYC. One of my favorite places anywhere. Go whenever I can. Can't wait to attend the BIG EAST TOURNAMENT there next month.

So what gives -- I don't think I've seen anyone anywhere on here in any thread or any post actually say anything anti-NYC or biased against NYC or anything else. SJU seems to be the only fanbase who takes any slight against SJU and turns it into some kind of hatred for the entire city. I don't get it. What am I missing?

Why are we so sensitive, oh I don't know maybe because everyone saying they don't like our team, players, coaches or fans. So why should we be civil with those who openly say they don't like us at all?

We don't believe conspiracies have kept us from winning, we all know it's our own fault, but this whole idea that we're dirty and everyone else is just a victim of our rough nature is a joke.

Congratulations to St Johns. Tonight you took control of the game from the opening tip off and never really let up. But, I saw that last play differently. PC was letting SJU dribble out the clock. No reason for Pointer to attempt that dunk, that is just disrespectful, and Carson wasnt going to let it happen

PC had stopped fouling and conceded the game. All that was left to do was let time expire. Was PC still playing defense? Yes. Was PC fouling? No. Clearly PC had conceded. Pointer dribbles it out and St. John's wins and moves on. Instead Pointer tried to rub PC's nose in it and PC gave a hard foul. Completely unnecessary punk move by Pointer which just makes St. John's look bad after they played well. Not the impression you want to leave.

Hey PC didn`t back off, they played the game like there was still 5min left so Dom did the same, it`s that simple. Why didn`t PC just back off, and Dom probably would have just dribbled it out, if not then that would havebeen classless. Not in this case though.

Thats fine, our beef is with the idea that Pointer was being some punk and deserves all the blame. We know it takes two to tango, and we'll defend our player when he's wrongly accused of doing something wrong.

No, i've been looking for it and can't find it. If it happened the way these Creighton fans have made it out Pointer would have been tossed.
