Maybe doing that and getting a win or 2 in the BET. It's not crazy to do. If we have no shot then that means G'Town has none either? We have basically the same record as them. The only separation is that big win over MSU. If we beat Nova it's an even better win. If we beat Creighton at home which is entirely possible, there's our signature win. Then you finish at least .500 in conference and maybe win a game or 2 in the tourney…maybe win it all who knows? Do our chances look good right now? Obviously not. But I would not want my team facing this SJ team up backed into a corner. No matter what team in the conference.
The PC fan really acted like Creighton just played bad and we didn't earn respect from that? Um…our defense gave Creighton fits. Absolute fits. I believe we made them set a turnover record of some sort. They were no match athletically…not even close. The only difference was that they had a POY who scored 40 points and put the entire program on his back for that night. You tip your hat and move on. But if you don't think our defense was a big reason they only scored 63 and turned it over a ton, you are nuts. And you proved you didn't bother to watch the game. Here's to a good game tonight and no injuries for anyone.

Georgetown has wins over #8 Michigan St, #28 VCU, and #44 Kansas St and 76 St John's and 97 Butler. 3-6 vs RPI top 50 and 5-7 vs RPI top 100
St John's has wins over #86 Marquette, #89 San Francisco, and #97 Butler. 0-6 vs RPI top 50 and 3-8 vs RPI top 100
So right now, Georgetown has 4 wins better than anything that St John's has done. Also, Georgetown 5-6 away from home, while St John's is 3-6.
There's a reason why despite the exact same wins/losses record, Georgetown's RPI is 17 spots better. SOS. Georgetown 20, St John's 38.

17 spots in the RPI isn't a lot.

except that it is a lot for having the exact same record.
Look at this-
Georgetown at 18-12 end of year. projected RPI is 48.9 5-3 rest of season
St John's at 20-11 end of year. projected RPI is 53.9 7-2 rest of season
So St John's- despite going 1 1/2 games better than Georgetown rest of the way would still be 5 spots behind Georgetown. That's with both teams playing pretty much the exact same schedule rest of the way.
And last week- Georgetown played 2 top 10 teams- going 1-1, and saw their RPI go up by only 10 spots. It's not like you see wild swings by this point of the year.
