VCU seems like an obvious choice to me. Easily the best on-court success of any of the candidate schools over the last 10 years. Great fanbase. And, at least for now, a great young coach with an exciting playing style. Oh, and did I mention blue is NOT one of their colors?

I don't get all of the concerns about public vs. private. Who cares? Public schools worked great for the Big East for 34 years. The FOIA stuff is way overblown.

Only trying to figure out your criteria for teams that should be considered. I'm never negative on teams that make sense. What bothers me is when people contradict themselves by saying recent success matters then promoting a team who hasn't made an NCAA tournament since the 90's. Then throw in the fact they have football, I just don't understand. At least VCU is entertaining to dispute, UMass is just ridiculous.
