Does anyone know which seeds get which times Thursday? Like would early Thursday session be the 1 and 3 seed games?

Where would the upsets be? HIGHLY unlikely the results would go by form. Or would the top 4 seeds advance to the finals?

matchups wrong...
1 Creighton vs 8 St John's/9 DePaul
4 Xavier vs 5 Marquette
2 Villanova vs 7 Georgetown/10 Butler
3 Providence vs 6 Seton Hall

Marquette gets 5 seed due to head to head win vs Seton Hall
Georgetown gets 7 seed due to head to head win vs St John's
DePaul gets 9 seed due to head to head win vs Butler

I haven't seen anything official for the BET, but typically in conf with 10 that play this format, the 1 goes first so they are playing the team with less rest while getting the most rest for the next two days. So it'd be the 1-8/9 first game Thur followed by 4-5. Then the 2-7/10 followed by the 3-6.

Somewhat related:

If Creighton wins the BET, is there any chance the Jays get tournament games in St. Louis? Seems they have done pretty well in tournaments in St. Louis.

There would be a chance- but if Wichita and Kansas have like #1 seeds, they would be the teams going to St Louis almost certainly. Creighton would have to get ahead of one of those(preferably Wichita quite frankly).

People still don't believe Nova is for real, that's fine.

To me, Nova and Creighton are significantly better than the rest of the conference. They could lose, as their opponents will likely be far more desperate, but I think Nova and Creighton play 3 times this season right now.

Not unless both Wichita and KU go on a significant losing spree. I'm guessing we'll go to Milwaukee or San Antonio in the South (Memphis) regional if we get a 3 or 2 seed.

You lost all credibility there. Would rather play Gtwn and XU more than Nova? OK. Something tells me you'll get your wish with SJU needing a win to get into the tourney and you'll get absolutely spanked on your home court in the BET.

Really, any fans questioning either Nova or CU this year makes me laugh.

Nova has had a great year but you guys did anything but "spanked" us. In fact, only a few major teams blew us out. G'Town was the clear one and a few others were 10 or 11 points that we were still competitive in. Come to MSG thinking SJ is an easy draw at your own peril. Cuse and Nova fans had near heart attacks here this season. You know eventually we get over that hump and make a play to win. I could definitely be wrong but SJ seems to be playing with purpose and intensity now and dare I say cohesiveness. We have suffered more close losses that could have been potential upsets to ranked teams that would have resonated nationally than any other team in the nation IMO. We spanked Butler, we spanked Marquette. Creighton escaped with a last second NBA 3. We gave Cuse and Nova everything we had to the final minute. Maybe it's our time to charge back where we should have been all along in the top 3 or 4. Xavier is quickly fading and I think PC is a mirage. We have lots of home match ups coming up, the BET is played at MSG, and our schedule was by far the hardest early on to start the year…it's opening up a bit now. I think this SJ team smells blood in the water and is ready to avenge 2 of Nova, Creighton, and PC games. I could definitely be wrong…maybe this team loses a few and hits a new low. But the eye test tells you this team has just began tapping into its actual talent. If SJ keeps rising while Xavier and possibly PC fade, I think we can enter the conversation. The key will be stealing at least 1 of Nova/Creighton, taking care of business vs. weaker teams, and winning a few in the BET at the minimum. Is it possible? Absolutely. Likely? I don't know about that, but much stranger things have happened and this team is due some good karma and a few bounces our way.

Keep in mind this team has lost SIX games by an average of barely 4 points (4.1 technically). Is there another team in the conference that has lost so many nail biters? Of those 6 games lost by an average of 4 points, half of them were against the #2, #4, and #20 (now #12) teams. Oh what a difference a few different bounces would make. I think it's time that we leave the opponent wondering what if. I expect to see this team winning some tight ones instead of losing them for a change. Even winter ends eventually. Hopefully our snakebitten streak will too.

Lavinwood I think you missed the point entirely. I'm not trying to say that Nova is soooo much better than SJU or that we spanked you. I just think as one of the two teams that has carried the cred of this conference for the season up to this point, they were due a little more respect than being referred to as the 4th toughest game left on their schedule--especially in our own house. What I was trying to convey is that sometimes Karma rears its head, and boastful fan bases get their wish at the worst possible time (like needing a W to get in the tourney and running into a buzz saw at the BET in the form of the 4 best team left on your schedule). That is all.

Well I don't agree that Nova is our 4th toughest game left. That's just wrong. It's Nova, Creighton, then G'Town and so on. We haven't beaten PC, G'Town, Cuse, Nova, etc. in so long...it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Has any St. John's fan considered its 'bad luck' is actually a symptom of a team that does just enough to lose? It doesn't seem like it, but that's what most fans of other teams think when your name comes up.
