Has it been said how the Big East is distributing tournament credits earned by members?

I know every league is different, but I hadn't really seen anyone say anything about how it works in the Big East.

I have wondered this top. I presume it's the same as had been done previously, but I haven't seen anything official on this.

I believe that the Big East has always done an even distribution of NCAA credits to all the teams in the conference. I suspect that this would continue. If we could routinely get 5 teams in the tournament (and all win a few games) this could turn into decent pot of cash.

If I am remembering correctly, the C7 kept the credits they earned previously, but not sure about the new 3. My guess is they left their credits with the A10.

I could be wrong, but I was under the impression that it was a 50/50 split with the team getting half and the conference distributing the other half. I could be wrong, but it would be kind of unfair if the team that put in the work/time/resources got the same as everyone else (and I know Marquette will likely be benefiting from this arrangement this year).

CU had to leave their credits in the Valley.

In the Valley, they cut each piece 11 ways: one each for the other teams, and two for the team that played in the game.

Actually, I think the league office kept the extra slice, not the school that earned it.

Then possibly it's twelve slices, because I've read in a few places the winner of the game gets an additional piece over and above the regular disbursement.

The Big East has never distributed NCAA credits evenly. While everyone gets a piece, a school that earned more got a bigger slice. TV money is given evenly. I don't know what they will do going forward.

Most of Butler's are in the Horizon League.
