Again Carnesecca Arena only holds 5600, your complaining about less than 900 open seats. Heck they might have even been sold, who knows? Why don't you go recount the TV money from your new conference deal instead of counting seats in other teams buildings. There's a lot of reasons Fox gave 500 million to the BE, one of them is St. John's and NYC.

So in a city of 7 to 8 million, you cannot find 5000 interested in a Wednesday college basketball game? Is the Arena on campus? What about giving tickets away to the students?

Just want to raise the bar for the Big East. If the expectations are such that 4,700 for a Big East conference game is acceptable, then so be it.

Nothing jumpy about my response at all. I'm not a St. John's fan and I didn't go to St. John's. I'm a Providence fan living in Manhattan. I simply detailed how I spent $100 in commuter fares to attend a PC game in Queens on Thursday night. Not sure many are willing to spend $100 in commuter fares to attend a college basketball game within their own city limits anywhere in the country. I wish St. John's success, but I could not care less about attendance at a St. John's games right now.
