Just look at the teams who win the titles rarely is it a newbie anymore just seems to have a correlation. In regards to recruiting traction I'm not going to go through and look at all the recruiting classes for every team but I can speak for MU having a top 10 class last year, with a top 15 coming in this year so next time we're posed for a run will be the year after next.

BU- Can't see it in the time frame.
CU- Legit shot w/Dougie Buckets this year or not in this time frame.
Depaul- They would have needed to land Cliff Alexander to entertain any ideas.
GU- Possibly this season with DSR leading the way. Possible shot next year if one of those freshman really kills it (LJ Peak) but likely not. But legit shot two years from now during DSR's senior year.
MU- This year represented Mu's best chance in this time frame IMO, but that was before the losses started piling up. Don't see it in the next 2 either.
Nova- Legit shot each year in this time frame.
PC- This was the season too make that run. No shot in the next 2 either.
SHU- 2 yrs from now during what would be Isaiah Whitehead's 2nd year.
SJU- Apparently not this yr, but yes next year if Sampson comes back. The year after that no.
X- If Semaj comes back they will be in the running next year & maybe even the year after w/o out him.
My pick....SHU

At one point past BE NCAA champion Uconn was a newbie, same with Cuse, Gtwon & Nova. This league is built on breaking through not living on past success. However good this season winds up being for the league, it will still be the worst season for the league over the next 5 years IMO- ceiling is high.

Don't think you're properly paying attention to our recruiting. If Marquette can pull in Diamond Stone (#5 overall), 2015 will be huge with the guards and wings we have coming in (including our frosh this year).

Yeah that was years and years ago before the college landscape changed. New programs don't, or very rarely, win titles. And this league is built on past success. Think of why Butler X and Creighton were let in over Dayton or SLU it's because of past success. Think of why MU and Depaul were let in with Louisville and Cinci it's because of past success. Maybe you five are always looking forward because you've been in it since before you had a bunch of success but the other half of the league got in because of our past success.

You're seriously trying to answer this question based on POTENTIAL commits over the next few years. Obviously future recruiting makes this a dynamic evaluation, just like players transferring or getting booted off the team, and injuries.

No, I was just adding in Diamond Stone (A legit one and done 6'10 C who was teammates with our freshman PG in Milwaukee) to expound on the point of not getting why we would be left off in this time frame so easily. Have you seen our other actually committed recruits for 2014 and 2015, including our Top 10 class this year and the Luke Fischer transfer? Seems a bit rash (albeit probably aided by the perception of down year) to leave us off.
