DePaul was in the bonus with THIRTEEN minutes left in the 2nd half. The play of the game was the zebra blowing his whistle right before half to cancel Branch's perfectly legitimate and-1. Would have won the game by 1 if they did their job.
Think I'm just whining? Walk a day in a SJ fan's shoes. This program is snakebitten AND the refs hate us. It's a great recipe for 0-4.
For those who didn't watch the game, SJ was shooting lights out and was 7-7 from 3 until late in the game and also shooting 54% from the field with DePaul shooting 39 or 40% and 25% from 3. You could tell SJ was the much more talented team, but it could have easily been won 2 ways. 1) Sampson does not miss the dunk with no one within 10 feet around him early in the game and 2) The refs count the and-1 by Branch right before half that they called a travel and took it away. Of course the refs directly took 3 points away and we lose by 2. That's the way this season is going. Good thing I don't play on the team because I'd pull a Sprewell on the ref after that. I'm glad Pointer got the technical…I'd be pissed too if the guy I was guarding fouled me without a call then the refs blow the whistle on me when I react.

No excuses. It's DePaul. We are not a tournament team and the season is over barring a miracle run.

How the heck did St. John's give DePaul 17 offensive rebounds???
