It also takes a bit of the sting out of the loss like this when you only drop a couple of RPI points.

Moved up a couple spots in Kenpom, actually. Creighton dropped a couple spots.

Sadly, I think most of us have accepted that this will be his last year. I said to my wife during the Marquette game to enjoy what you are seeing now. The kid didn't have a great game today, but he is something special to watch (as is McDermott and Co.).

You don't think Christon had a great game today? Holy cow -- I don't know what X fans expect out of him to be considered a "great" game, but if Doug hadn't dropped 35 today and Wragge hadn't been hitting from 30 feet, it's safe to say that Christon would easily be the story of the day. That kid was pretty much unstoppable today.

27 points on 10 of 17 shooting, 2 of 3 from the three point line, 5 of 7 from the free throw line, 4 boards, 5 assists, 1 steal. That's a pretty great statline for somebody that you apparently think didn't have a great game today.

Heard on the postgame today that our scouting report suggested that we could let Justin Martin shoot the three, and we got burned early, forcing some quick adjustments. I can't wait to see how each team preps and adjusts for round 2 in a few weeks. Something tells me to expect that one to be a much lower scoring game as both teams really make changes to slow the other down based on what we saw today.

Yeah, I was at the game and thought Samej was unbelievable. I know he's been terrific the last few previous games, but that wasn't exactly chopped liver today.

Fantastic game today. Amazing talent on both teams. Every drive and deep three was better than the previous one. Stones on both sides. Both teams have their star, but also so many weapons besides them. XU and CU both have Final Four potential. No question Creighton has to be ranked tomorrow. Great conference and it's going to keep getting better.

Seth Davis must have loved the game because he put Creighton at #19 and Xavier at #23 in his AP ballot.

Really? Is that for tomorrow's poll? Awesome! I definitely agree with him.

Today was the first game I saw at Crieghton. The arena looked really nice, I'm sure the game day experiance there is awesome. Didnt like the outcome of the game but was impressed with Creightons play. Every one talks about McDermott but that Wragge guy was unreal. Ton of range on that kid.

He forced a few shots and had 4 turnovers, so people are being a little nitpicky after some fantastic performances lol. The last game was remarkable: 28 points on 10 shots with 1 turnover and excellent defense. Overall it was a really good game. An offensive rating of 117 on a usage rate of 28%, with 4 rebounds and 5 assists added in, is pretty damn good.

I just checked out Seth Davis' feeding of the trolls after he posts the rankings. It's hilarious.
