All y'all need to look yourself in the mirror and admit your programs are skating on thin ice. Georgetown, St Johns, Seton Hall and Providence fans, sorry to say your teams look like they are going the way of the Blue Demons more than when you had Thompson, Carnesecca, Carlessimo and Pitino. Add Marquette to the list, and X fans, I'm pretty sure you're wishing you still had Matta or Miller. Butler, are you just thrilled Miller replaced Stevens? Get some perspective kids.

Just a lot of people seem to be focusing on Creighton and our future. Fans from just about every school is talking about us dropping off in the future. Creighton is not going to be dropping off, imho. If we looked at Xavier for example, I could say that Chris Mack got to the Sweet 16 two of his first three years with Sean Miller's recruits. Last year you missed the tournament and right now you're on the bubble. Why isn't everyone questioning Chris Mac without Sean Miller's recruits? Other than Johnnies Fans who are already starting a turn on Lavin, why don't you question your own coaching staffs' future rather than Greg McDermott's?

One guy. This has been covered already. Unless you're talking only about next year, in which case you're crazy if you think next year's team will match this year's team. And last year, Xavier missed the tournament after a perfect storm of an offseason, so no one with common sense is questioning Mack for that.

As of now, Xavier has a better resume than Creighton. Also, Chris Mack has a Top 10 recruiting class coming in next year.

Mack has led X to the NCAA Tourney 3 of 4 years (2 Sweet 16's) with one down year year due to circumstances out of his control.

You're wrong, it's NOT just one guy, it's even a lot of Creighton fans who are nervous about Coach Mac's future after Dougie's gone. I'm not any less impressed with Coach Mac than any other current coach in the BE.

Lunardi has Creighton a 6 and Xavier an 8 seed. We're higher than you by double digits in every RPI and computer rank. Where are you pulling those resumes?

Seems that all of our teams have inherent advantages that will allow us to have long-term basketball success. Even teams that have been sitting at the bottom of the league for the past few years are potential sleeping giants IMHO. DePaul is probably the best example. They are getting a new arena, they are in a hotbed of hoops, and they have shown they will put money behind hiring a new coach. And they have been the weakest team in the league the past several years by a long shot. Once Purnell goes, they will get someone good. And if that guy fails, someone else will come in-- because of the inherent advantages of sitting where they are. Seton Hall, who has been "down" as well, has a great class next year. They are also in a great hoops recruiting area.

Bottom line for me is that yes, teams will be up and down for a few years because of coaches, player issues, etc. But I think all of our programs have advantages that will remain attractive to coaches, recruits, etc. There is no team I am worried about in the long term.

I agree, I think the resume's are close but I don't think Xavier's is better. As for whiteandblue77's post, please don't think all bluejay fans think like that. Looking at the rosters and recruits coming in next year, I think the future is bright for the Big East as a whole. I think the only teams taking a step back next year are probably Creighton and DePaul. I think everyone else will be the same or better. I hope that with our resources, we pull in a great 2015 class and become very competitive very quickly.
