New Year's Eve - Seton Hall at Providence 2:30pm ET FS1

It will be a historic day on December 31, 2013 when three new members begin conference play. I will create a special thread/poll for each contest so we can discuss them throughout the day.

PC should win this one whether Teague plays or not. I think Friars have a chance at the NCAA even without Dunn.

They'll have to do well in league play, like 11 league wins IMO. If they had beaten UMASS, I would say 10 would likely get them in......

Teague is a match-up problem for PC bigs...he's too strong. If he plays & plays well he's the key to a Pirate victory IMO.

I don't disagree with you BUT can he guard the much faster Batts without getting into foul trouble? Pretty interesting one on one match up.

Last year in the game at Seton Hall, every time Teague touched the ball, we immediately collapsed on him and double-teamed him aggressively (Batts and Henton), so he couldn't get into any rhythm, and it led to travels and turnovers. The guy is a huge wide body, but I think he's a little shorter than Batts and definitely Desrosiers. That was the game that Mobley hurt his shoulder 5 minutes in, without being touched, so we caught a break. Also last year I think Maayan ran PG, so this year the Hall is much better with Gibbs and Sina.

The idea that Teague could play tomorrow at all is fantastic, considering his condition the other night.

Guys it's looking less likely he will play but as BillyJack said I'm happy playing sooner or later is all we're talking about. Only thing I would say about last year is Teague is playing much better this season, especially lately. He's trending upwards & has all-BE potential this year. Auda becomes the key now although he's just returning from injury as well. We have to hope PC's short rotation can get in some foul trouble, specifically in your back court- Gibbs is good at that.

What's Teague's game like? I can only go off of his time at SIU when we battled them in the Valley.

Right now it's a classic big east banger below the rim game. Everything inside of 10 ft is bbq chicken. He's very dependent on the other players ability to feed the post though.
