Oh well, 5-2 is kind of what was expected. Marquette easily the biggest disappointment of all the Big East teams.

Marquette will probably go and roll in Big East play and the media will point out how a team that couldn't win a big non-con game is the best in the BigEast. Crap.
Nebraska by birth, Creighton by choice.

Marquette is going to need a really good conference season to have any shot at the tourney now. 8-5 if they beat Samford would mean to get to 20 wins- they would need 12 wins in conference/BET. That's asking a lot for them I think.

HUGE day now tomorrow. 2-1 critical to get now- with 3 very losable games. I think especially the Creighton game is huge- a win there and they enter conference play 10-2 and they are the clear #2 favorite in the league behind Nova. A loss, and they are in the muck with everyone else.

Yeah it's looking like Georgetown and Marquette are going to have to win 12 or 13 games between conference play and BET in New York, just to be on the bubble.

I'm not sure. Gtwn lost one bad game. They were underdogs vs. both Kansas and Oregon. They beat both VCU and K St., who just beat Gonzaga. If they finish in the top 3 in the BE, they are in. What everyone is forgetting is that there are so many marginal teams this year. They have to get their act together but Gtwn is not in as bad shape as many think.

it would depend on what the record is. If we go 11-7 in conference, that'd be quite possibly 19-11 going into the BET. That should be ok, but it's no lock- especially if we lost the 1st rd 3/6 game.
