He said he was surprised by CU's detailed game planning for opponents, said BE teams don't game plan for opponents with as much detail as CU and Valley teams do. He thought BE teams work on improving their own game. Said an Nebraska asst who was at Georgetown last year noticed that NU was more detailed on opponents than GT as well.
Could be a case of teams with better athletes (Big East) who need work on their own games, as opposed to teams with guys who win by making adjustments to their shortcomings. Anyway, hadn't heard that before.

This could also have something to do with Creighton being used to the MVC with the double round robin, so they would have a book on all the teams they play so thick- while BE schools didn't have that. Nebraska while not in a round robin setup would see 7 teams 2x while Georgetown would have seen say 3 teams 2x.

However, MU's other three losses were by a combined 16 points, to three teams with a combined record of 29-3, and all were in hostile environments [Wisconsin (12-0) in Madison, Arizona State (9-2) in Tempe, San Diego State (8-1) in Anaheim]. The early part of the year was racked with injuries (Duane Wilson), departures (Jameel McKay), and the subsequent shuffling of personnel that sees players out of position and adjusting to new roles, particularly given the turnover the team already had to deal with after the entire backcourt from last year left.
They have been playing better each game since halftime of the Arizona State game. I think Buzz has finally figured out how to use his personnel in a way that should hopefully see the Warriors dancing for the 9th year in a row. Buzz has a history of finishing strong.
