I am hopeful for my squad today but I think that is the most likely "L" today. As XU can attest Iowa is a very good team and it's tough to expend all that energy to beat a Top 5 team without it affecting you. It's a damn shame that XU could not have held on vs Iowa and CU vs SD St. How fun would it have been to have a Big East doubleheader before the conf season even began. Talk about accelerating rivalries if those teams met each other 3 (or even 4) times this year.

Iowa doesn't stand a chance. They're running into a buzz saw.

the Iowa/Nova game is going to be interesting. Nova had to expend a ton yesterday while Iowa really didn't. Also the fact how nova's game was 2 hours later will come into play. It's not ideal at all for Nova.

If St. John's would just play each half like they play the secoond half they would be 7-0. They outscored both Wisconsin and Penn State in the second halves of each game. They finally came back enough to win one. Good bounce back game. Could have gone from one bad loss to two very easily for them this weekend. Go Cats. Let's wrap up this Saturday right. And the only thing that takes a bit if the sting from the loss yesterday's loss is the Johnnies beat an ACC team - never not fun.

Splitting the PSU/GT games won't look bad at all if we beat Cuse somehow. Even if we lose vs. Cuse, assuming we are done with the stupid losses, PSU may not be the worst scenario. If you can look back in March and see your worst loss is to a major conference team, that isn't too bad. Watching the Ole Miss game hoping they crush PSU who got lucky that SJ beat themselves last night missing 2 key FT's. We can't lose anymore games we are the favorites in.

if you lost to cuse- 10-3 OOC... If you can get to 10-8, that's 20 wins and probably on the right side of the bubble. 1 more loss somewhere, and it gets a lot more complicated!
