2 tough ones in there vs. the Big12: Ok State & Kansas. Not just the two top Big 12 schools but perhaps the 2 best teams in the nation. Getting 1 W would be a coup. Getting W's vs. teams like Penn State and Oregon St. are critical when facing KU, Ok St & Kent.

Thru thanksgiving- here's the ESPN 9....
1 Big Ten 16-8 .667
2 Big 12 15-8 .652
3 Big East 12-8 .600
4 ACC 18-16 .529
5t AAC 8-8 .500
5t P12 11-11 .500
7 A10 10-14 .417
8 SEC 5-15 .250
9 MWC 2-9 .182

A few things stick out to me-
1- ACC has played 10 more games than anyone else vs those conferences.
2- AAC of the actual top 7 conferences has played by far the fewest games so far against top competition. (if you add into the comparison the MVC and WCC- making it top 11 conferences in all computers)- they still have only 16 games.
3- SEC is still putrid- 5-15.
4- Big East only has 3 losses vs teams not in the top 11 conferences. 1 was Southern Miss- a very possible tourney team. Only Pac 12 has fewer than we do- they have only 2- but they were especially bad- Coppin St and UC Irvine

vs. ACC: 2-1
vs. Big 10: 0-3
vs. Pac-12: 3-2
vs. Big XII: 1-2
vs. SEC: 3-0
vs. AAC: 0-0

OVERALL: 9-8

11/29: Penn State vs. St. John's
Butler vs. Oklahoma State
Villanova vs. Kansas
Xavier vs. Tennessee
11/30: St. John's vs. Georgia Tech / Ole Miss
12/1: Providence vs. Kentucky
Oregon State vs. DePaul

Solid job staying on top of this. Big weekend!

Well, we got the win we needed tonight. Even though the Johnnies blew it against Penn State in OT and Xavier and Butler lose to Tennessee and Oklahoma State, Nova takes out #2 Kansas and that my friends is what you call good medicine. I am watching the announcers in the post game still making excuses for Kansas and talking about how they are still one of the best teams in the country. WHO CARES - IT'S A NOVA NATION TONIGHT! More big games coming up. Johnnies have a date against Georgia Tech on national TV from Brooklyn and they better have their S*&! together for that one. Sorry, it got personal there. Nova gets a shot at #23 Iowa

vs. ACC: 2-1
vs. Big 10: 0-4
vs. Pac-12: 3-2
vs. Big XII: 2-3
vs. SEC: 3-1
vs. AAC: 0-0

OVERALL: 10-11

11/30: St. John's vs. Georgia Tech
Villanova vs. Iowa
12/1: Providence vs. Kentucky
Oregon State vs. DePaul

Iowa raised and CU guy here. Loved seeing Nova beat Ks and if they come to play they will beat Iowa. they do have a good point guard ( doesn't pass the eye test, but he's tough).

Wow Kansas almost lost to UTEP! If UTEP made their FT's they could have won.

Kansas all of a sudden does not scare people as much. They look very beatable if you pressure them and get them out of their comfort zone like Nova did. If you prevent them from getting gimmes in the paint you have a great shot because they suck at outside shooting.

Or maybe they haven't gotten over a tough loss from the night before like many other teams. This team did beat Duke already so I'm sure they still scare people.

[quote="stever20"]Thru thanksgiving- here's the ESPN 9..../now thru Saturday night....
1 Big Ten 16-8 .667- now 17-12 .586 1-4 this weekend
2 Big 12 15-8 .652- now 16-9 .640 1-1 this weekend
3 Big East 12-8 .600- now 16-13 .552 4-5 this weekend
4 ACC 18-16 .529- now 21-21 .500 3-5 this weekend
5t AAC 8-8 .500- now 10-9 .526 2-1 this weekend
5t P12 11-11 .500- now 16-12 .571 5-1 this weekend

8 SEC 5-15 .250- now 11-17 .393 6-2 this weekend
9 MWC 2-9 .182- now 3-11 .214 1-2 this weekend

an average weekend for us this weekend all together. Got the big Nova wins of course- but balanced out by Xavier. Tomorrow a huge day for us- 5 games against those 9 conferences. 4 competitive games- Butler/LSU, Oregon St/DePaul, Providence/Kentucky, and Marquette/SD State.

Pac 12 just on fire this weekend- going 5-1.

Big Ten with a bad weekend- 1-4...
SEC with a huge weekend to get back into the game- 6-2.

We're still tied for 2nd for fewest losses to non top 11 conferences- to only Pac 12. Us, Big 12, and Big Ten.
