A 5-0 day on Thanksgiving would mean 100 times more than the 5-0 weekend we just had
Villanova/USC
Butler/Wash St
Marquette/CS Fullerton
Xavier/Iowa
Creighton/Arizona St

Duke beat Vermont by 1 point at home. Please stop with the close win = a psuedo loss stuff.

Good luck to the Big East. DePaul is way overdue...I sense a win coming tonight. WSU is still a mid major no matter how good they may be. Once this crop of WSU players leave, they will go back to being best known for college baseball, not hoops.

... they aren't very good at baseball anymore, either. Hopefully in a year or so they will just drop off the map entirely.

They will. They don't have enough of a profile as a school to maintain this level beyond this crop of players. They got lucky with a recruit turning into a 5 star in disguise. Look at Murray St. after Canaan. Look at Detroit after McCallum. Look at Lehigh after McCollum. Look at Davidson after Curry. All the low major teams go back to being low major after their random studs who came out of nowhere graduate or enter the draft.

A lot of folks dinged Duke for that close win. I'm sorry- but a 1 point win against a mediocre at best team- does nothing good for us at all.

Just stop looking just at the win loss record against teams that are by and large horrible.

Let's see how we do on Thursday- or even Friday...
Villanova if they win rd 1- Kansas
Butler if they win rd 1- Oklahoma St
Creighton if they win rd 1- San Diego St
Marquette- Miami/GW
Xavier- UTEP/Tennessee
we go 5-0 that day- now then I'd be impressed. But to act like 5-0 means anything major is a joke.

3-0 December 1st would be the best day for the conference

You can also stop with the moving the goal post trick. I don't need to see games later this week to say the league had a good past weekend. Making excuses for Puke barely winning at home against 1-5 Vermont and discounting SHU after beating VT on a neutral? I'm a BE fan not sure what you're motivations are about.

1. Huh? A lot of folks dinged Duke for barely winning at home vs East Carolina and Vermont? Duke was #6 and now they're still #6.

2. The Big East has 7 losses total as of right now... of the 7, there were 3 vs ranked opponents... of the other 4 losses, in each of those games, the Big East team held a lead of 10+, 14+, and as much as 16 point leads. What all of us as a ten team group have done over the last 23 days has been beyond anyone's expectations, even mine, and I'm a big homer.

3. Has anyone been able to compile the list of both the BE and ACC vs top-25, top-50, top-100, and top-200 schools?

Let's hold off before getting too excited…Providence is 6-0 but hasn't faced a ranked opponent yet. #1 UK and #24 UMass along with always tough Maryland on the near horizon. After those games we will have a much better idea of PC and other teams.
