7) SHU (1- Ugly loss to OK but not a bad loss w/o Auda, 2- bounced back & won last game w/Gibbs having bad game, 3- Emergence of Sina)

The way SH lost that game was ugly, but it isn't an ugly loss at all. For people that didn't see the game, it looks like SH played a solid Big 12 school tough in a close battle.

The Mercer loss is the ugly loss.

Providence at 6? If you throw out preconceived notions no way is PC at 6 right now. They'd have to be #1 or in the top 3 at least. Again if we're basing it on what we've seen so far, which I understand is very very early.

You can't put Marquette that low (7th) because of 1 bad game. For me they are still top 3 and there is no reason for them not to be there unless they lose a couple of more games. Same for Gtown, they have some easy games to gel and then KU which they could very well beat. Both teams really still haven't come close to peaking yet.

As far as SHU, the loss of Auda makes us no better than ninth. He is a smart player, great passer and dribbled for a 6'9'' guy. And without him we can add 4-5 more TO's a game

Only one that I could see maybe out of place is Marquette. We'll learn a lot about them this week. And- for Providence, they have the golden oppurtunity to really turn heads playing Kentucky on Sunday.

I agree w/your analysis, as far as the Mercer loss thankfully that was from the prior week not this week. I think we are playing much better now.

Johnnies not getting any love in the power rankings. They have no bad losses. Lost to #11 Wisconsin on the road and beat everyone else they were supposed to beat. Not saying they should be 1 through 3 right now, but 7-9? Interesting...

I know for me, I took how they struggled with #302 Monmouth into consideration. Of the top teams- the only one that I could see maybe would be Marquette- we'll know a lot about them tonight though like I said.

Top 25 just came out, Creighton at #20, Marquette at #25 in the AP, only Creighton ranked in USA Today. Nova and Xavier getting some votes. Providence getting votes for the first time in USA Today poll (3). Gtown only 1 vote in each poll, and that includes win over VCU.
