SJ 5 star freshman PG #3 in nation may transfer

Postby Lavinwood » Mon Nov 25, 2013 1:55 pm

Not a confirmed source, but there are grumblings that it may be an option. For those of you who don't know, he was suspended indefinitely for something not specified and Lavin said "If he takes care of business, he will be back. If he doesn't, he won't. We want him back". Just the latest out of our program. I knew it was way too good to be true. There's a going joke with SJ fans that there is always significant bad news every single year i.e. injury to a key player, suspension of a key player, transfer of a key player, decommittal of a key player, a death in coach's family, cancer, etc. When things look too optimistic, these things always seem to happen to us. It's like PC...your 2 McD All American's either get hurt or leave. Then Austin was suspended. I really hope it's all just a rumor and Jordan doesn't transfer but given our luck I'd say it's likely. The last thing we can afford is to give up a vastly needed offensive spark. Would be terrible for the Big East, not just SJ. Stay posted.

Reports are Jordan suspension was small stuff and he is not looking to leave. That was in the Post today.

Hopefully everything works out. Lavin is definetly a great recruiter, but he some of his recruits don't cooperate of the court

Unfortunately the best players almost always have character flaws. The bookworm super athletes are taken by Duke, UNC, etc. We just are not a lucky team. When we finally get the players we need to compete, they can't play well together and some of them cause problems. I know most NCAA basketball and football players are athletes first and students last, but damn get your act together. You would think getting a free private school education while playing in the Big East would be enough to stay out of trouble.

Heard he missed the final practice before the Monmouth game. Hope to see him tonight.

He was just practicing with the team. That better mean he plays tonight. We need to give him a huge chunk of minutes to let him run wild and see what he can do. I hate having new toys and not using them i.e. Hooper, Jordan, etc.

The reports of his demise have been greatly exaggerated

Good news, hopefully he gets with the program and avoids any future suspensions.

DePaul is a MAAC team playing in the Big East. Sorry, it's true. They have no business being in a major conference. They have a legitimately good team if you look player by player. They have what I call "Mets Syndrome". That's when you are so bad for so long that even when you have talented players, the negative culture holds the team back.
