Northeastern loses on buzzer beater by 2. Hoyas loss doesn't look so bad anymore given the win over VCU & NE's showing against FSU team that had Mich on the ropes.

Whatever floats your boat bro. The Hoyas played a great game against a good team. Even before the season I was high on Smith-Rivera so I definitely don't want to diminish the W--Gtown proved to be the better team and I'd bet that if these teams played 10 times, Gtown wins 8 of those games.

In any case, constantly pressing full-court won't get you very far in the tourney. You get a relatively decent point guard and/or a coach who can prep for it and you are going to lose (e.g., Temple and Michigan both spanking VCU last year). Reminds me of UW-Milwaukee in 2005. They full-court pressed their way to the S16, but then ran into a Deron Williams-led Illinois and they were exposed.

Clearly the 3/4 court press worked for Lville last year, but they're coached by Rick Pitino. And, well, he's Rick Pitino.

That and the fact that they had 4, maybe 5 future NBA players on their roster, which sure didn't hurt.

VCU made the final four a couple years ago full court pressing. So yes, you can full court press and go deep into the tourney.

They forced what 26 turnovers. The VCU offense let them down a bit. They shot only 35% from the field today. And still it took Georgetown being almost perfect from the line to win. 30-34 2nd half free throws. To act like they're a fraud like you are making them out to be is a joke.

Gimmicks by definition don't usually work, can't say that about Havoc given how much VCU has won with it. If the expansion door opens I'd gladly take any two from SLU, VCU, Yukon.

The Huskies would need to drop football back to FBS for me to ever consider them. Which is to say, they aren't an option.

People thought Creighton wasn't an option a year ago...just saying.
