In our 2 losses- 20A 16 TO 1.25 ratio
In our 2 wins- 36A 20 TO 1.80 ratio

I don't think those are as stark as the 3 pt shooting.

Dude you said you didn't even watch the game. Game one was played on non-regulation rims and yesterday's game was a roller coaster. yet you're using total game stats to make your point. If you didn't see the second half yesterday you wouldn't have known how the hoyas really lost that game. Ball movement isn't a stat just like good shots, yet the hoyas' offense is predicated on it, you know that.

At some point though- you have to make the shots. Wright St for instance- they were burying everything.

Looking at the play by play- 1st play of the game was a buried 3 pointer. When we aren't hitting those 3's- teams don't have to honor the 3 point line as much and can pack it in. When we are hitting- teams can't pack it in. Opens up the inside game and also all the cuts.

Umass is about to beat #19 New Mexico and get to 5-0. Umass-PC on a collision course.

Not Big East- but UMass is pounding New Mexico today. The MWC is having a dreadful start to the season. They may actually be if the year ended right now a 1 bid conference. Only Utah St and Boise St are undefeated.

Of course- bad for Marquette- the New Mexico game had looked like one of their better OOC matchups remaining. But- great for Providence- UMass could easily be ranked after this weekend and then be ranked come when they play Providence.

The Johnnies better beat the living crap out of Monmouth. This is a team picked to finish last in a weak MAAC this year. They were in the 50% range in free-throws 2/3 games and their best day at the line was 66%. Their FG% is in the 30's against lower competition like Penn. Time to trash them. We need a blowout so we can get our 3 pt specialists Hooper and Bourgault some burn as well as Jordan. I'd really like to see what Jordan can do with a ton of minutes. He has showed flashes of greatness but Lavin doesn't keep him in long enough for him to get on a roll. No excuses tonight for us. This is one of those games where it's unacceptable even to keep it close i.e. less than 10 pt margin.

I doubt they'd be ranked too soon…they'd need to beat 2 ranked teams and stay undefeated I would think. I really like PC this year and I'm so glad to see they are getting it together because we need you guys to be good. But unfortunately the AP Coaches and Writers prefer the brand name schools. Big name schools with a loss or 2 get a lot more leeway than a Providence when considering for top 25. It's wrong and sad, but that's how it is. I feel like everyone but Creighton, Nova, G'Town, and Marquette have to work twice as hard to prove they belong in the top 25 because they aren't as proven as those 4 recently.

I don't necessarily disagree with you- but UMass already is getting votes before this weekend. We'll see what happens rest of the weekend, but easily could see UMass ranked come Monday.

good start to the Providence/Vandy game 7-7 1st tv timeout. Dunn should be in relatively soon i'd guess.
