It feels like Bucknell is shooting 70% from the field. I mean almost everything is going in if it's not blocked. Our offense stalls because our players go from east to west instead of north to south driving in the paint. We look like crabs out there. This is a lazy St. John's team. We settle for jumpers because we don't want the hard work grinding down by the hoop. If Bucknell does not cool off considerably, then this game is a blowout…in Bucknell's favor. They are making shots at will from everywhere on the court. I don't want to hear the people saying how good Bucknell is…they are a mid major picked to finish 4th in their conference with lots of newcomers. We should be cleaning their whistle. They probably barely have 3 star players. We are full of 4 and 5 star players.

3/3 from 3 for Bucknell and another brick for us. STOP SHOOTING. We clearly cannot shoot if our lives depended on it. Why aren't they realizing this? The only players I trust to shoot are Harrison, Jordan, and Sanchez. Other than that they shouldn't be allowed to shoot mid range or further.

That kid Casper looks like an All-American out there against us. I bet he's a 2 star player not recruited by any big programs. Unreal. Don't even know what to say anymore. It really looks like Lavin can recruit but not coach to save his life. Who else can it come down on? This is a veteran team with SIX top 100 players.

I know it sounds like an excuse, but I feel like the rims at Carnesecca are like bricks. Every game we have a few 3's that rim in and out where they would normally go down otherwise. Even more reason to DRIVE TO THE PAINT! We have guards who don't drive. We are too athletic for Bucknell…USE IT! They can't keep up with us, so force them to foul.

They need a true PG who can penetrate, someone who can run the offense. They look like an all star team, 5 guys each doing their thing with no one on the floor really in charge.

To be honest, I don't think that this is a lack of hard work. They look like a team without a plan. Even those outside shots are not coming off schemes. Buck ell is letting them have those shots until they prove they can make them, leaving Bucknell in great rebounding position. If those shots were coming off schemes, SJ would be in better reb position mad would have B out of position. The shooters would also be better set when they take the shots.

IMO this one is on the coaching

Dear god the refs really seem to just be letting everyone play. There has been a decent amount of contact not called on Bucknell's end. I saw 2 or 3 layups where there was contact and no call. Luckily we made them.

I agree with this, this is bad coaching, all they do is settle for jump shots. Not playing to your strengths, defense is keeping them in this game.

Ok, down by 3 basically with Bucknell playing perfect and us not being able to make any shots. We must be shooting around 30%. It feels like we should be down by 20 right now. Take a deep breath, Lavin better be screaming at them to drive the damn ball. Even the shots we made rattled in. We don't get those nice crisp open looks and makes. We just don't. If I were Lavin I'd start recruiting basketball players instead of athletes. Athletes will get noticed because they can dominate in high school without fundamentals, but in college the doofy looking kid from the suburbs will burn you if he has fundamentals and you don't. This isn't street ball, it's college basketball. I'm still waiting for us to have a lights out shooting night. We are 3-31 from 3 in our past few games! THREE FOR THIRTY ONE! It's getting to the point where it's actually hard to be that bad. As they say, even a blind squirrel finds a nut sometimes. We have to start making them.

Maybe St. John's isn't that talented? The talking heads keep repeating it and it has become 'conventional wisdom' but maybe it's just not so.....
