We'll start really seeing a lot more this week as those exempt tournaments really get under way.

Are any of their results so far surprising though (except Lasalle getting beat by Manhattan)?
When teams quit wanting to leave that disaster area, they can be good.

Manhattan is a lot better than many may realize. They went to the MAAC finals last year without their leading scorer. He's back and they're picked to win the MAAC this year. I didn't find that one all that surprising, but I was disappointed with Georgetown and St. John's. I expected them to beat Oregon & Wisconsin.

Great game, great atmosphere, great win for the Jays.
St. Joes is going to be in the NCAA this year, I guarantee it.
Care to put a wager on that? St Joe's is not a great program or team. They are not making any tourney not named NIT or CBI. Any win on the road is a good one I guess but trust me Jays fans this is not the OOC game that will be considered a good win for CU in. March. St Joe's is a 70-100 RPI team at best this yr.

I think it is a matter of perspective. Personally I think a win, ON THE ROAD, against a 70 RPI team is a good win. The committee generally gives some benefit to teams that schedule top 100 teams in the noncon, especially if they go on the road for those games. I don't think anybody is acting or treating the game like it was a win against a top 10 team or anything, but it is the conference's best road win so far.
