Look, St. John's has had numerous bad losses under Lavin. But this has nothing to do with St. John's. To compare Mercer to Wisconsin is a joke. Seton Hall SHOULD NEVER accept a loss to Mercer. I don't care if they played in front of 100,000 Mercer family members. It should always be a bad loss. Sure it's going to happen once and a while but the Hall is a big east team - you should expect more.

Look I may be a SHU fan but I'm not drunk off the cool-aid. SHU is getting back to prominence so don't tell me about supposed to win this & that when we went 3-15 in conference last year. If we mix in our new players by Jan I'll be more than happy & nothing I saw tonight made me think that can't happen. And really, I was comparing how good you think SJU is, at the moment, to be criticizing Mercer as some nobody.

The Mercer loss was bad. That was the most embarrassing loss thus far for our new conference. Nobody can deny that. Leave it to SH and Depaul to lose games to inferior conference teams in the pre-season.

I didn't even mention St. John's! You made the comparison. I expect Seton Hall to beat Mercer. Stuff happens and that's why you play the games. But if your a big time school like I think Seton Hall should be, Mercer is a bad loss. No asterisks, quotes or anything. If you're not a big program than it's not a bad loss . You decide what you want to be.

Butler beats Princeton 70-67. Gave up a double digit lead with 5 minutes to go though.

Butler escapes 70-67 over Princeton. 4-2 for the Big East today. Could have been worse I guess.
