Seton Hall getting all they can handle against Mercer on the road. 56-56, heading to OT.

How did SHU wind up with a road game at Mercer? Just curious.

The Hall gives the conference its first "bad" loss. Not terrible one - Mercer should be good this year. Still, that's a game SHU should win.

Did that hit the back of the rim? Tough to tell on the feed.

Well, at least the Atlantic Sun Conference has some Mojo going this year, with FL Gulf Coast being last year's Cinderella. [Had to Google Mercer. Didn't realize it was in Macon, Georgia.]

Providence dominating an absolutely abysmal Marist team. Rik Smits isn't walking through that door, apparently.

DePaul eeks out a win over the Horizon League Wright State Raiders. The Big East should send a personalized thank you note to Wright State thanking them for all the non-conference cupcakes.

Seton Hall and Marquette doing their best to make our new conference look weak. Mercer?!? C'mon! I know their are supposed to be decent this year, but it's still an Atlantic Sun team. Marquette continues our streak of losing to ranked openents in the non-conference.

Will we even have any ranked teams come Monday? We really needed that OSU game.

Though Seton Hall threw this one away it is not a bad loss. Mercer is 31-3 at home over the past three years and was thr regular season A-Sun winner last year that returned the entire squad. They lost at Texas earlier this year only by 3 and will be dancing come March. And they play them as part of a home and home from 2011.

1. That's why I put it in quotes. It's not really a bad one, but it's one the Pirates should've won handily. Mercer's RPI last years was 137 and KenPom has them rated 130th this year. They're not a bad team but not a good one either.

2. Why did SHU even schedule this game in the first place? This is the type of no-upside nonconference game that BE teams should not be scheduling.
