Word on Dunn is not good. Still up in the air, but a redshirt is a possibility.

Difference between NCAA and NIT.

One nice piece of good news out of the stat line was that the team had 4 blocks against an ACC opponent. Last year they averaged 3 but only 1.6 against Big East competition. Desrosiers with 2 blocks in 22 minutes was a factor inside. I had other plans for the evening but I heard much of the game on the radio - only saw a few minutes on TV - but from what I heard, Desrosiers was very much in the mix when he was in the game.

Now if they can only figure out the point . . .

The Friars were making me sweat over this one last night. We go 0-3 last night, and our legitimacy as a conference would be in serious question today.

This was indeed a solid W for our Friars - much needed and now the scramble is on to face the reality that the starting PG is most likely going to be redshirted. Nothing official yet but it looks like he will have to be shut down for the season.

Hopefully, the two Freshman currently out on "indefinite suspension' will be allowed a second chance and will re-join the team fairly soon. Neither were allowed to even sit on the bench on Friday night. They are practicing and on a very short leash by Cooley who is a strict disciplinarian about team rules and buying into the program.

PC has a fairly soft next two weeks before the real test down at Paradise Jam where they tip off vs. Vanderbilt and then, if they win, will most likely get LaSalle in the second round and go from there.

Sophomore Josh Fortune is going to have to step up and do the best he can at the guard spot while Cotton will handle most of the PG duties - neither are pure PG's and Cotton does have a gimpy knee...Dunn was THAT important to any hopes we had of making the Dance this year.

At least with Harris and Derosiers, this team has some depth - but 5th yera senior Kadeem Batts needs a good PG to be effective so that has to be worked out.

BC is BIG and loaded with 'potential' - picked to be middle of the pack ACC, I suspect they will get better as the season rolls on...

it'll be interesting to see how BC does today they host UMass. pretty solid team. The problem with BC- end of the day they could wind up with several OOC losses so their record might not be that great. They still have vs UConn(and a final with Washington/Indiana), @ Purdue, @ USC, @ Auburn, and VCU neutral, oh and @ Harvard. That's 7 pretty challenging games, with most being away. realistically, today is their only good home OOC game.

Barring a big comeback, UMASS is going to win this one.

yeah, saw the score was 65-54 with about 8 minutes to go. While I was impressed with Providence no doubt, I was not impressed with BC at all. I thought Providence in a lot of ways was light years better than they were but they let them hang around way too much. BC remember was 16-17 last year and like Bill Parcells says you are what your record says you are.

Looks like that "nice win" is no more. Oh well, atleast PC didn't lose to them. Hopefully BC can atleast upset a couple top ACC teams during the year, keep that RPI below 100.

I wouldn't go that far. it's not the important win in terms of SOS etc., but mentally I think it was an incredibly important win. Also, it was a win, something PC needs in the OOC portion of their schedule- though it'd be nice for BC to get something OOC so they are decent.

Looks like BC ran out of gas in the second half and couldn't keep up with Williams. Can't blame them after that OT slugfest 2 days ago.

PC will need to get some guards back in order to upset those UMassholes in Amherst.
