I think the top 4 should be ACC, Big East, Big 10, Big 12. Not necessarily in that order.

Not knocking the Big12 just saying I think as a bball first league we have to & should be in the top 2 or 3 year in and year out. To do that we need to send at least 5 teams to the NCAAT annually, get to the 2nd weekend every year, the 3rd week often, and the final weekend at least once in the next 3-4 years.

I don't disagree. Just sayign some years, Big 12 has been ahead of Big Ten or ACC... Maybe not so much now but still, they're ahead of the others.

Oh and the tourney has only 3 weekends! 1st weekend goes from 68-16 2nd weekend from 16-4, and 3rd weekend is 4-1.

I think this year is a huge year. We have to be top 2-3 this year with the 5 bids.

Ooops...at least 5 NCAAT bids/yr, at least 1 sweet 16/yr, a couple of E8's in the next 4yrs, and at least 1 FF in the next 3-4 years.

AP Preseason All-America First Team:

Marcus Smart – OKST
Russ Smith - LOU
Andrew Wiggins - KU
Doug McDermott - CREIGH
Mitch McGary - MICH

It helps to have the BE representation on this list, unlike the SEC, ACC & the Pac 12.

You know, all this Wiggins talk is getting a little ridiculous. Yes I know he's supposed to be the next sure thing, but we've heard that a LOT. And many don't pan out. The kid is getting huge endorsement deals and All America honors before playing 1 game. Wow. Can we see him for half a season first?

That was insane. Nice trip in the way-back machine there.
Big East Basketball is what it's always been. Great competition nightly.
If the Atlantic 10 didn't suck, why is everyone looking for the exits?
There is a reason why the A-10 left a team in the Central Time Zone...SLU, your move.

I was a freshman in HS that year.

Saint Louis was in a real basketball league at that time too.

Good greif give it up. I mean, Jerry Palm from CBS Sports projected the A10 this year to have as many teams in the tourney as the Big East. So give me a flipping break that the A10 isn't a real basketball league.
