Great work by Creighton. I give CU a lot of credit for what they've done, and expect that it will be a great place for Big East hoops.

Could we at least get a good word from you guys about the place you left? :)

it is, but it's not the out of world event that some here are making it out to be. If Creighton didn't travel this year when it's the 1st year, and they had the best player they've ever had- when would they travel to it.

I'd venture a guess this is what the Big East was expecting when McDermott came back this year.

Dude, stop poisoning every Big East message board (like on the csnbbs site). What Creighton has done is astounding, beyond any sensible person's expectations. You've decided to try to spin this negatively with concern-trolling, because you're primarily an SEC/ Louisiana State fan in Hoya clothing, or something. The classy thing to do here would be to congratulate the Bluejays for their amazing support, and then get out of the conversation.

why is it so shocking to you that Creighton would travel well this year?

I mean-
1st time ever in the Big East- so you have the newness factor
best player ever in schools history
best team ever in schools history

If they don't travel well this year, when would they ever travel well.

It's great they've sold this much, but I think you and some others are making it out like it's the most amazing thing ever. It's not. Its almost like you had real low expectations for them. I had pretty high expectations for them this year and they met them.

Now next year when it's not the 1st time, and the best player ever has left, and they sell as much- now that would be amazing.

Don't know much about our program do you? Not surprised about someone talking through his butt without doing any research on the program.

You would think an LSU fan would be more informed but I' m pretty sure this isn't an LsU fan that comes to Omaha for the CWS. Guess we'll just have to prove ourselves to some.

Just be happy this site has enough traffic that he can't turn it into the vcu love fest he has going at the other place.

That said, congrats and thanks to the Jays fans for setting a standard for the league going forward. I'm thrilled to have you and the other newcomers here and am hopeful you can all continue your traditions of excellence going forward. I'll be in Omaha in January to see my Hoyas extend you a nice welcome :)

Well, here's an idea --- maybe next year another school can make up for whatever Creighton doesn't bring?

I don't expect 2000+ Creighton fans to make the trip every year. It is simply too expensive. Like with most tourneys, individual school's crowds will ebb and flow based on the schools performance. Considering Creighton fans have the farthest to travel, I hardly believe that when Creighton was selected that the other schools expected Creighton to bring 2000 fans every year.

If the others are right and you're a VCU fan, I can see why you may be bitter. With the new defensive rules, "HAVOC" might as well be renamed "CAPUT" because it is over.

I am amazed (and slightly envious) of these numbers. I have no idea how many Xavier has sold. I might root for you guys in the tournament (except when you play Xavier) because i would hate to see a 1 and do performance after spending that kind of $$$ and traveling that distance.

Well I can certainly say I am amazed (and perhaps more than slightly envious) of Xavier's recruiting success this year. Really most all of the Big East. But I do think (hope) our recruiting will further improve as we get into deeper seasons.)

Does anyone have any idea as to how many tournament tickets have been sold by the other schools? I think it is great that Creighton has sold this many but I am concerned about the other schools. Everybody is saying that one of the reasons we have bought so many tickets at Creighton is because it is our first time but what about X and Butler? It is their first time too. Also Marquette and Georgetown are suppose to be pretty good as well as Creighton. What are those schools doing in tickets sales? We need all the schools to buy alot of tickets or MSG is going to look pretty empty. I don't think Fox Sports 1 is going to be very happy with just 2000 Creighton fans in the Garden.

All the other schools have sold atleast 750 because they are required to purchase atleast that many. So atleast 8,750 tickets have been sold.
