FOX Sports 1 Broadcaster Team Annoucnements

I have mixed feelings about so many non-Big East people Fox is including as part of it's broadcast team. (Jimmy Jackson, Gary Williams, etc). Otherwise still exciting news! We got Bob Wenzel but where is John Celestand though?

Well Bardo, Spanarkl, and Wenzl all did games for ESPN so I like that they picked off some talent from ESPN.

A few of these guys do stuff on BTN and that makes sense considering the relationship between networks.

A majority of these guys already are under contract for other Fox properties, so it makes sense. Brian Anderson, Stephen Bardo, Eric Collins, Jim Jackson, Kevin Kugler and Gary Williams all work for BTN (which Fox owns 51% of), and Thom Brennaman and Dick Stockton work for Fox Sports on the network side.

For Creighton fans, it's nice to see Stephen Bardo and Kevin Kugler on the list -- Kugler is a former Omaha sports personality that did a ton of Bluejay games on local TV over the years before he went national, and Bardo has some familiarly with them from doing Valley games on ESPN.

I like Bardo, he's one of the most pro-BE announcers who's not a BE alum (along w/Len Elmore). Glad to hear FOX has brought in a guy with Bluejay ties too! Mr. B1G himself, Jim Jackson, is going to take some getting used to though.

I'd count Gary Williams as a Big East guy. He has history.

True GW has history (BC) but c'mon a BE guy. With over 20 years & a NC IMO Gary Williams = Maryland/ACC. Also I wonder how weird it will be for Donny Marshall to be doing BE games, with his school being relegated to the AAC as the biggest loser of realignment.
