Torvik "upgraded" his preseason ratings, some notable changes in BE forecast. He said the change involved using BPM (boxscore +/-) as the basis for player projections.

https://www.barttorvik.com/trankpre.php?conlimit=BE&state=All&year=2025&sort=

2025 T-Rank Chg
12 ConnecticutBE 113.9 -3
13 Creighton BE 116.4 -8
15 St. John's BE 114.2 +3
25 Marquette BE 113.2 -3
37 Xavier BE 114.9 -18
44 Villanova BE 111.6 -16
60 ProvidenceBE 109.8 +1
77 Butler BE 110.8 -30
90 Seton Hall BE 105.1 +9
108 GeorgetownBE 110.9 +16
127 DePaul BE 110.0 -1

From just a quick glance at the new rankings, it seemed the teams with the largest changes were ones with major roster turnover.

Hmmm…

Makes for an exciting Elite 8.

KU v Jays
Uconn v zags
Houston v Marq
X/StJ v Duke

…an all-Big East FF?? That would show the naysayers huh!

When is your Beast Preview show with Chap and Fanta going to air this year?

Hmmm

Great question Django. I didn’t do one last season.

I will contact the fellas and see if they want to participate again (Jack, Cole, Tristan, Jon). Fanta is now big time and is rolling with Fox, Field of 68, etc.. If the others are game I will need to dig up another, more well known hombre as the 5th.

If it’s a ‘go’, I will let both boards know ( HLOH, BJU ) well ahead of time. In the past the vid aired- 19th thru 23rd of September.

Appreciate your interest.

In addition to Jack (Novachap) if another Holh board member is interested, let it be known on this thread and DM.

Hadn't seen this posted elsewhere, Nova comes in at 85 and 10th in the BE in the preseason Top 144:

DePaul is likely 11 and didn't make the top 144. I think Holtman will do much better than that.

Coaches tell which schools have best NIL packages:

UConn, StJ and Georgetown mentioned.
