You guys really gave us a scare! What an impressive showing, especially from Umoja Gibson. Xavier just had Colby Jones go off to finish it out.

With this win, Xavier preserves their perfect record in the quarterfinals, going 7-0. From 2014 to 2019, Xavier made the semifinals every season, the only team to do so. Since then, they had lost on Wednesday night for three straight games, so they didn't even get to play in the quarterfinals again until this season.

I'm sticking with my guess from before the tournament: UConn vs. Creighton in the finals. It seems even more likely after watching the quarterfinal performances. Still, I think these semifinals could be fun.

It will be interesting to see what defensive scheme Shaka comes up with.

Haven't been here in awhile but just wanted to congratulate my boy gtmoBlue and all the Creighton fans on the win yesterday. I was at the game and Creighton fans outnumbered Villanova fans. Great to see such support. Creighton had our number from the start of the game. McDermott can coach and he made all the necessary adjustments to make sure there wasn't going to be a repeat of last game. Our offense was tough to watch. Not sure what kind of game plan it is to have 1 guy try and breakdown 3 players. Very frustrating to watch, and our defense needs much work. Way too many open shots. Don't take that as an excuse though. Creighton was the better team and deserved the win. Congrats Creighton fans! Classy program, classy fans, great coach.

Will be tough to watch the dance this year without Villanova, but I think between Creighton, UConn, Marquette, Xavier and PC, you have some really, really good teams, and any one of those teams can make a run. Will be rooting for you guys! Best of luck!
