Wow you couldn’t ask for a better replacement for Hawkins and O’Connell. Hope you guys land him and the UNC kid, too.

Unless there was a departure that isn’t public, we don’t have one scholarship to give let alone two. The rumor is that Mason Miller will give up his scholarship and walk on next year. Helps that his uncle is a coach and his dad can afford the tuition. I guess we’ll see.

A crystal ball prediction for Creighton, albeit from the same guy who crystal ball'd Kerwin today. I have no idea what's going on with that. But it seems we have all the momentum to land Baylor. We'll be a top 5 preseason at this rate. Just insane.

Baylor Scheierman commits to Creighton.

From Rothstein:

“Creighton returns four starters from an NCAA Tournament team and has now added one of the top transfers in the country in South Dakota State's Baylor Scheierman.

Greg McDermott's squad is now 2nd in the ROTHSTEIN 45 --- only behind North Carolina.”

LOL! Congrats Jays! You guys are going to be insanely good next season. I’ve moved the Jays up on my “teams to root for” list now that my nephew will be enrolling at Creighton in the fall!

Now comes the part that a Creighton team has rarely had to tackle (and never at this magnitude) - meeting/ exceeding sky high expectations.

I had forgotten about the scholarship loss for 22-23 season.

Expectations were pretty high Doug's senior year, Mo Watson's senior year and 2 years ago. All three handled the expectations fine, although the postseason results were disappointing for two of the teams.
