UCONN was one of 3 teams that didn't bring in a transfer this season. It'll be interesting what Hurley and Jay Wright (also didn't bring in a transfer) do this season. Both teams got stud freshmen coming in.

I have a hunch that Taylor Funk ends up in the BEast. The guy can play....kind of a Ryan Hawkins feel to his game. What do you think kayako?

Xup... he may, but IMO no where near as good as Hawkins. He never did much vs Nova and we played him every year. He did have a bunch against Georgetown though, but virtually everything was spot up shooting. Kind of like swider lite.

You may have watched more Funk than I have, but my impression is that he's not a BE rotation player. A good comparison IMO is Kaiden Rice of Georgetown.

What about Diggins? I believe he was a higher (or just as high) of a PG recruiting prospect as Nembhart coming out of HS last year. Why can't he fill that spot? In fact would wonder if Hurley did grab a portal PG if Diggins would stick around himself.

Perhaps, but unless he (and Gaffney) have great off-seasons, I'm not sold that either one will be ready to take the reins. Both have shown a high tendency to turn it over.
