A small point and it no way means that Nova won't win but the last home game against PC is not their senior night. The students will be on break for the Providence game.

Is it not Villanova's last home game of the season?

It is, but they did their senior night things last Saturday against Georgetown since it's spring break for Nova next Tuesday.

Welps, Providence wins its first ever BE regular season title. Congratulations! I do think that it's a missed opportunity to not have @Nova Tuesday to decide the winner. That game's lost some luster now.

I believe this only leaves DePaul and Butler without at least a share of a regular season title in the conference.

Big game for Creighton against UConn now. Lose that one and a first round bye may be on the line next Saturday against SHU.

looks like it would be- no matter what Marquette does. Even in 3 way tie 2-2 against each other. Marquette with win over PC and 2 over Nova would have tiebreaker to get 4th . SH would have h2h on Creighton for 5th.

Is that how the tiebreaker is applied? I was unclear on if Creighton would beat SHU via beating Nova or if they would be reset to a two-way tiebreaker after removing Marquette (via its PC win), giving the tiebreaker to SHU via head to head in this hypthetical scenario.

I'm almost certain they would revert back to the 2-way tiebreaker after 4th is determined.

If Creighton wins either of it's remaining 2 games, which are both home games it will be at worst, the 4 seed in a tournament. In the event that Creighton wins 1, and Marquette wins both of its remaining games they'd both have a .631 record, but Creighton swept them. If Creighton wins both its remaining games it takes the 3 seed over UConn even if both teams finish at .684.This would be again, because of the season sweep.

As far as the "missed opportunity" of Villanova/Providence game deciding the champion... I think Providence fans got it the way they wanted it. Winning it at home is pretty great.

Here is the current situation this fine Sunday morning.

Biggest things that happened yesterday:
1. Providence locked in #1
2. Creighton stopped for a moment keeping pace with UConn. Losing by double digits doesn't lend itself to confidence for the final 2 games.
3. Seton Hall winning at Xavier pulled them into a position of strength ahead of SJU and X, and aligned more with Marquette and Creighton for the final stretch. Seton Hall could take the 5th spot if Creighton loses out and they win out. Which is totally possible. Seton Hall plays Georgetown and @Creighton. Creighton has to beat SH and UConn.

Yes, those parts are obvious. The question is in the entirely possible event that Creighton finishes 0-2, Seton Hall finishes 2-0, and Marquette finishes 1-1, creating a 3 way tie. In that case, they're first evaluated in a mini group in which case Creighton sweeps Marquette, Marquette sweeps Seton Hall and Seton Hall sweeps Creighton. They're all 2-2, so it moves on to best win. Marquette takes best win and the 4 seed by beating Providence. At this point, with two teams still tied, do they continue applying the 3-way tiebreakers which gives the 5 seed to Creighton or do they switch over to two-way tiebreakers which gives it to Seton Hall?
