I'll paste some of my old posts I've found here in case anyone is wondering how this season compares to 2019-2020 cancelled season around this time of the season.

1/19/2020 NET:
7 Butler despite losing to DePaul
12 Seton Hall fell despite winning @SJU
17 Nova climbed 3 spots despite an unimpressive win at home
30 Marquette
33 Creighton
51 DePaul
52 Georgetown
68 Xavier
76 SJU
80 Providence

1/20/2020 Bracketville:
2 Seton Hall
3 Butler
4 Nova
5 Creighton
6 Marquette
10 DePaul
11 Georgetown
Xavier 4th out
SJU 7th out

Only Providence was outside the bubble at this point, but as we know they made a big run later to comfortably be in the bracket by the season's end. That might've been the best top-to-bottom power conference in recent memory.

Big 12 this year going to challenge that. Right now all 10 teams are in the top 65.
BE 20- 42.60. 4 top 30 teams 8 top 75 teams
B12 22- 32.40. 5 top 30 teams 10 top 75 teams

Think about it- a team outside the top 30 would be guaranteed 14 Q1 games in the Big 12 right now.

for Bracketology-using Bracketville from Saturday
Baylor 1
Kansas 2
Texas Tech 3
Iowa St 4
Texas 7
West Virgina 7
Oklahoma 7

TCU(since beat Okla St)
KSU(since beat Texas Tech, Texas)

You could easily see them getting 8 and have an outside shot of getting 9 teams in- 100% of eligible.

Bracketville updated overall seed list- (seed to the right)
Nova 10-3
Providence 16-4
Xavier 18-5
UConn 21-6
Seton Hall 23-6
Marquette 26-7
Creighton 37-10

You'd almost think Marquette with a win tonight would pass UConn and Seton Hall.

Close, but yeah numbers favor the B12 as of today. It'd be wild if they got 9 of 9 eligible teams in, but I find that highly unlikely. 2020 BE would've ended up with 6 bids due to cannibalizing.

The only thing now for the B12 where they could lose ground is the SEC challenge...

going into that here's OOC records for the 2 leagues-
B12 101-16
BE 101-25

It's unreal how good the big 12 is right now. Got 8 teams at 12 or more wins already with 4 of them 14+ wins.

That'd be a massive upset. Unless I'm missing a game somewhere, I believe Nova has lost only 1 BE game at the Pavilion since the realignment.

Marquette is now very much in the top tier, expanding that to 6.
Seton Hall Pirates
Big East Tournament Champions: 1991, 1993, 2016
Big East Regular Season Champions: 1992, 1993, 2020

and the way their schedule is set up- if they survive the next few weeks- getting to Feb 8- their schedule after that features @ Butler, Georgetown, @ Creighton, Butler, @ DePaul, and St Johns(with hopefully 2nd game with St John's in there as well)- they're going to be able to really be dangerous.

May have a shot at getting 5 teams ranked if Xavier manages to stay in.
