Xavier has 4 more games vs top 25 teams left, and 2 more with UConn as well. Several Q1 chances left.

Meanwhile Dayton has exactly 0 games vs top 25, 1 with a team getting votes, and exactly 0 Q1 shot left.

Yeah there's no comparison at all. DePaul one of the easier opponents while Fordham is a pretty typical A10 opponent.

I told you back in the summer….my last post that it was in the works. Forget Gonzaga not going to happen. Be more concerned by the bottom feeders lack of viewers …Attendance and Performance. Has been going on a long time and drags the conference. . Val and the Presidents know they need a change. My next post will be after the announcement, be angry or dismiss it but it is about to happen. All about Money…no one….NO ONE cares if the message boards like it or they don’t fit in your eyes. You will enjoy the teams coming in and especially the Big time feel they bring vs what we see at DePaul..GT and St Johns.

Way to not post again until after the announcement.

Ah yes, DePaul is the same as Fordham...if we ignore the fact that if they suddenly joined the A10, they would be the average team in the conference. God, I don't miss Xavier's time in that conference.

If a school like Dayton is miserable in their conference, then they should take measures to improve their situation.

The alternative is to keep things as-is, and continue with this never-ending gripefest, humiliating yourselves by *begging* to get invited to the Big East.

The 11 current BE schools showed serious gonads in 2013. Sit down and figure out a better situation for yourselves. Jeez.

Following up, it would be a cool exercise to come up with countless scenarios to "fix" Dayton's situation (if you think it needs fixing).

What an odd take? So BE has 3 extremely high-ceiling programs (unlike Fordham) in 3 best markets in the country struggling right now, so we must add Dayton to look big time? To be honest, I see no advantage that Dayton has over VCU.

IF anyone is coming this summer...it's these guys.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish (Atlantic Coast Conference) (2013–present)

2013–14 Notre Dame 15–17 6–12 T–12th
2014–15 Notre Dame 32–6 14–4 3rd NCAA Division I Elite Eight
2015–16 Notre Dame 24–12 11–7 T–5th NCAA Division I Elite Eight
2016–17 Notre Dame 26–10 12–6 T–2nd NCAA Division I Round of 32
2017–18 Notre Dame 21–15 8–10 T–10th NIT Second Round
2018–19 Notre Dame 14–19 3–15 T–14th
2019–20 Notre Dame 20–12 10–10 T–6th Postseason not held due to COVID-19
2020–21 Notre Dame 11–15 7–11 11th
2021–22 Notre Dame 10–6 4–2

The Irish are wallowing in the mud of the ACC midlevels to basement over the last 5 years. Their fanbase can't be happy.
They haven't been to the NCAA since 2016-17 (5 years) - That alone is enough to get Brey's seat hot...AND give the vocal minority
fuel to push for a return to the BE. They are making 7+ million/year for hoops in the ACC. I'd venture a guess that the ND faithful
would be okay with a temporary hoops cut in pay for more appearances/money in the Dance, rather than a continued languishing
in the ACC basement. Their typical arrogance levels would indicate their loyalists see more success levels, more consistent success
in a return to the BE.

It will be a win-win situation. ND returns home to the BE with improved prospects for making the Dance and renewing longstanding rivalries.
The BE gets another needle-mover team returning to the fold.

ND likes to think of themselves as independent, free thinkers, wildcards. Such a move (return to the BE) is not far-fetched.
