it seems like covid is just gonna be a part of our lives for the next few years. Nothing we can do about it. When I recover I will try to get the booster

Hope you guys get better asap. I've been avoiding crowds at least until I get the booster shot next month.

Wife and I got boostered a couple of months ago and kids home from college will do so in the next week or two. Such a simple way to help minimize the impact of the virus on our family.

The BIG EAST has announced that the Creighton at DePaul game on December 20 has been canceled due to COVID issues in the DePaul program.

Per BIG EAST policy, DePaul has forfeited the game and a loss will be assigned in the conference standings. Creighton will be assigned a win.

It will be telling if only DePaul and Seton Hall forfeit games. Hopefully everyone else got their guys vacccinated.

Sounds like across the country that there are 40 teams that have had a COVID pause now this year, with 35 of those 40 active right now.

The Thursday DePaul/Seton Hall game cancelled. No word if it's a double forfeit or what the forfeit situation will be.

DePaul forfeits to Seton Hall. Good thing for the Pirates that they must’ve been cleared.

When you know the other team is definitely on pause, of course you declare fit and ready to go... lmao

Rumor is that while Seton Hall was able to field a team, they likely still caught a break considering how shorthanded they would have been.

I know Creighton benefited with a DePaul forfeit, but this new rule doesn't make much sense with the situation we are in and the new variant. Even vaccinated people are getting breakthrough infections and it will get worse before it gets better. Didn't like the rule last year either (for obvious reasons). Hope they can come up with something that makes more sense!
