Big win for USF beating Arizona St in Tempe. 11-1 with 1 game left OOC(plus a D2 game). They open up WCC play @ St Mary's and @ Gonzaga so if they could just split those 2 games they're in great position.

Talk about ASU giving that away. Fouled a guy on a 3 at the end of the game. Geesh.

That loss is one that will haunt the Jays all year.
Nebraska by birth, Creighton by choice.

Yesterday was a good day for the Big East opponents- Big East teams improved in the NET a net 16 spots yesterday. DePaul improved 5 spots, Georgetown 4, and Kansas St 3.

Wow saw this on twitter....
Talking to a College Coach and he told me during our convo: In the Power 5, Big East, Gonzaga, Houston, and Memphis - there are only 24 freshmen playing 20 or more min/game.

Think about that.... That's like 79 programs.

Probably of those 24 at least 4-5 are your one and done types(and maybe more).

Gonna guess going to see a ton of transfers in the spring.

Combination of covid free year and free transfer has made this a horrible season for the freshmen.

Creighton's SID saw that tweet and "corrected" it...it's actually 41 freshman playing 20+ minutes at those 79 schools
9 in Big Ten
8 in Big East (3 at Creighton and Marquette)
7 in SEC and ACC
4 in PAC 12
3 in Big 12
2 Memphis
1 Gonzaga
0 Houston

That kind of makes more sense. Still about 1 for every 2 schools but better than 1 for every 3 schools.

Good for Creighton to correct misinformation. Sometimes I think college bb media isn't overly concerned with accuracy.

BYU loses a game to Vanderbilt in the Diamond Head Classic. WCC kind of been leaking a bit here in the last few weeks. BYU now only 9-3 vs D1 with 1 game left vs Liberty. No Q1 wins right now(though Utah on the road at 76 is real close).

Not too much to talk about these few days with so few games scheduled on top of all the cancelled games.

4 bids for the WCC is fascinating, because they're what, 9th or 10th highest NET average?

Latest bracketville projection:

ACC - 3 bids
PAC12 - 3 bids
MW - 2 bids
American - 2 bids (1 at-large)
WCC - 4 bids
A10 - 1 bid

But 3 WCC teams are in the bubble, near where Marquette is, and I think too much has to align for 4 bids to happen.
