Bad for Marquette and UConn.
good for Xavier
St Bonaventure now 3-3 since Charleston. With 3 double digit losses.
A-10 looking like 2 bid league max.
kayako wrote:2 bids is likely because you know a team or two will put it together and win 14+ games vs. conference foes. For UCONN's sake hopefully it's VCU.
On the other side of the country, I don't think WCC gets 4 bids unless the Zags really struggle. Mary's would do well to not lose tonight to SDSU.

I think their records will all be so good that they all get in. They could enter conference play all with 13-2 or better type of records. And have 10 easy conference games. That gets them up to 23-2 or better with 6 games head to head. Win even 1-2 of those games and they will be pretty easily in IMO.

I am thinking Gonzaga sweeps, and the other 3 teams can't all win 2. One of SF, BYU, or Mary's will go 1-5. None of them have any big wins OOC. This is also assuming that those 3 go 30-0 vs. other teams, half of the games on the road. I'm thinking 3 is the safe pick with 2 more likely than 4. Now this falls apart if Gonzaga doesn't want that #1 Seed in the West.

St Mary's has @ Utah St.
San Fran has 2 right now- vs UAB(#33 so could perhaps remain top 50) and Davidson
BYU has @ Utah. And home vs Utah St(they're #31 so really close). And they're probably the best team of the 3 IMO.
I don't think Gonzaga sweeps either.

You sure about Davidson? They played at Chase Center and I don't see it listed as a neutral site event.

It's not their normal arena so it's considered a neutral site game. It'd be like for St John's playing a game at Barclay's.
Don't think eventually Davidson will be top 50 so it'll probably wind up a moot point.

No idea what prompted Davidson to play a "neutral" game in San Francisco against San Francisco, but similar games do happen occasionally. Maybe there's a return "neutral" game in Charlotte or something.
