Then again doesn't that seem like a similar sentiment between all the members this year? The BE is so competitive that everyone believes they can compete for the top half. I do fear that only 5 max will get invites so its going to be a bitter pill for certain programs used to annual NCAA trips if they get squeezed out some years now.
This vote could be headed for a run-off between Xavier and PC if it remains tied!!

The league's bids will ultimately get determined during their performance during the non-conference schedule. Some of the key games that can help the league win additional bids:
Nova @ Cuse
Nova vs. LaSalle
Nova @ Temple
Nova in Battle4Atlantis
SJU vs. Wisconsin
SJU vs. Cuse
Seton Hall vs. Oklahoma
PC vs. BC
PC vs. Kentucky
PC vs. Vanderbilt
Marquette vs. Ohio State
MQ @ Arizona State
MQ @ Wisconsin
MQ vs. New Mexico
GTown vs. Oregon
GT @ Kansas
GT vs. Mich State
GT in Puerto Rico Tip-off
DePaul vs. Wichita State
Creighton vs. Cal
Butler vs. Vandy
Butler vs. Purdue
Butler in Old Spice Classic
Xavier vs. Tennessee
Xavier vs. Cincy
Xavier @ Alabama
Xavier in Battle4Atlantis
That's at least 27 key games the league really needs to show well in. If the league can pull down 15-18 wins in these games and avoid too many embarrassing losses, I think 6 bids is possible.

Botton line is I think any BE games vs. BCS conferences and the A-10 are important. Need to create separation from the A-10 in the selection committee's eyes. PC has road games at URI and UMass. Both are important for PC and the reputation of the BE.
