According to Massey we jumped B1G and are very close to B12 for #1 conference right now

Yeah looks like it's fairly good and really 21-22 season only(some computers still have a lot of last year data used on it). Massey has DePaul at 55 and Georgetown at 89 which right now is pretty fair given the results as of now.

So when you say “good” you’re comparing it to another data source that’s closest to the 2021-22 NET? If you know another please share thanks.

All the others are much worse- they still have a majority of their data based on 2020-21 season. Very few if any start at 0 and work from there.

NET won't get released until just before Christmas.

Django – this is the first instance in which I have ever heard anyone make this assertion (and I keep up with Ratings Methodology moreso than most college basketball fans). Please post your analyses which led you to such a profound conclusion, or alternatively, post a link to a reputable source which verifies your assertion that Massey is the closest to NET rankings, as you would not want anyone to think that you just made that up.

Stever agreed it’s a good one and he out geeks you by a mile... I asked him for another because from what I’ve found Massey is the best .... so what’s the best this time of year? Just one site name is all we need Flyer... your posts are too long and boring. If you have a better site just tell us, no reason to copy paste a novel.

Perhaps you misunderstood my enquiry. What exactly did you find, and why does it support your assertion? Also see ipse dixit for context.

I think I'll take that as a compliment. :)

So much right now is tough if you're just looking for this year because almost everything is based on last year.

Might actually look at the RPI for somewhat of a guide- since it's all in 2021-22 season. Big East #4 behind only the Big 12, Ivy(gone 13-10 so far), and Big Ten.

SEC only #13 right now.

Rutgers basketball suffers stunning loss at shorthanded DePaul - Jerry Carino, Asbury Park Press - November 19, 2021
There are tough losses, and then there are sledgehammers to your resume. Rutgers’ 73-70 defeat at DePaul Thursday could be the latter.

The Scarlet Knights (3-1) got beat from the 3-point line down the stretch as DePaul (3-0), which came in with a Kenpom of 123, prevailed despite having just seven scholarship players. The Blue Demons were missing three rotation players, including two starters.

Ohio State's loss to Xavier raises questions among media as Buckeyes surrender bragging rights - Robbie Weinstein, 247 Sports - November 19, 2021
Meanwhile, the Big East has clearly gotten the better of the Big Ten in this year's edition of the Gavitt Games. Although the Big Ten entered the season with the reputation as the best conference in college basketball, it has lost some luster this week. The league needs to bounce back in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.

Ole Miss Drops Hard-Fought Game To Marquette, 72-78 – The Rebel Walk (Ole Miss Sports) – November 18, 2021
“We guarded them, took them out of a rhythm, and they made some tough, tough shots. They made a tough one at the end of the half that kind of got them going a bit. They shot 13-for-32 from three, we shot 6-for-15 from the line. That was kind of the difference in the game.“ - Ole Miss head coach Kermit Davis

Well done, Big East.

The thing that's funny for them saying the Rutgers loss to DePaul will be a sledgehammer for their resume is that for Rutgers a road loss to DePaul will be at worst I'd say a Q2 loss. I don't think DePaul will finish the year with a NET rating of worse than 135. Realistically no Q2 loss is going to be looked at like a sledgehammer for the resume.
