Incredible. We were underdogs in all 4 GG, and will be underdogs once again in the 2 games tomorrow. Hoping the Johnnies and Butler can keep this going.

I absolutely would've signed up for 4-4 this year, especially with Nova and UConn not playing. The odds of starting 4-0 were extremely, extremely low. Amazing job by Hall, Marquette, Providence and Creighton. Best exposure the realigned Big East has ever had this early in the season.

The 2019-20 season was a great year for the league sadly cut short by the pandemic. I remember we had the #1 league RPI/NET

But this year is looking like it can be the best one yet if the league keeps performing at a such a high-level

Yes 2019-20 we were #1, but we didn't achieve that until the final week of OOC during the Big XII challenge. I think we went 8-2, and St. John's beat #16 Arizona. Nova also beat #1 Kansas. I think we went 4-4 during the GG earlier that year.

Getting off to this kind of a start is new for the Big East. That said, it's still very, very early and we have a ton of work to do. It is certainly nice getting positive press this early in the season, though.

thought there was 1 other year kind of like this- not quite obviously- but then the exempt tournaments were a killer.

All I can say is……holy land crap!!!

I had a dinner tonight so I missed the last 10 mins of the Jays game and the entire Hall game…..didn’t check my phone so I came home and watched the rest,….what a GREAT night!!!!!!

The crazy thing is we’re 4-0 and we’ve only played 1 of those games at home!! 3 big road wins…..

I. LOVE. THIS. CONFERENCE!!!!!

Awesome Gavitt Games so far. Huge congrats to SHU...I know I give you guys a lot of crap, but that was just downright impressive. Was obviously rooting for you guys there. Huge, huge win and it's not like experts can say "well they were missing a key player"...they literally had a NPOY candidate in Hunter. Michigan is a legitimate title contender. I think they aren't used to the athleticism of the Big East or the grittiness. The B1G seems to be more big farm boys and finesse. The Big East will make you roll in the mud. Congrats to all everyone is holding up their end so far. I just really hope my Johnnies can make a big statement in Indiana later. We have as good a chance of winning this type of game as we've had the last decade. No more excuses, it's time to win these big games with big expectations.

Maybe lil Cr8n can steal Diabate in the trans portal...since UM doesn't seem to use him much?

Well we've been doing this challenge since 2015 and the best we've done is 4-4 (3X, also went 3-5 2X). It's the beginning of the year each time, so that only leaves 2013, 2014 and 2020 (cancelled). It's possible in 2014 we got off to a strong start (2013 was a down year), but don't think comparable to this with 2 top 10 wins and only 2 losses (1 on the road to #2).

We've gotten some big performances in the holiday MTEs and some neutral court games before, but we've never stepped up in the Gavitt Games like we have so far this year.
