So that shitshow somehow got the Pirates moved up a spot in the NET rankings lol
Good game Jays - the way your 3pt shooting had been struggling lately, it always felt like we'd be the lucky team that runs into your correction game. Of course I'm sure the defensive strategy of "just stand there and hope they brick wide open threes" didn't hurt.
Which leaves me harping on SHU's overall 3pt defense again. In Big East play:
-3 of 7 opponents have shot at least 50% from 3pt range
-2 more shot greater than 40%
As bad as last night was, it's just 1 loss in what I consider the toughest game on SHU's schedule this year (I think Nova's far and away the best team in the league but Creighton, stylistically, is a match-up nightmare for the Hall), but the 3pt defense trend needs to improve to have a shot at the NCAAs (especially because the Hall can't shoot threes either. Oh well, on to the next one.
