Wow, that has to be the worst post I’ve read since Omaha1’s idiot comment about the 2002 game

Completely agree. The significant foul discrepancy between the two teams, however, was somewhat alarming. It undoubtedly had an effect on the game (XU: 20 fouls, CU: 11 fouls; XU FT: 5-7, CU FT: 14-20; Freemantle getting semi hosed on 1-2 fouls that took him out of the game). BUT, you should almost always expect there to be a discrepancy to the home team's advantage.

At the end of the day, X could have won, but didn't make enough plays, namely making shots... I don't think X will ever see Creighton shoot that badly again in Omaha. X had an opportunity to win but they lost, Creighton won. Congrats, Jays. Looking forward to the rematch in Cincinnati.

The difference is that my comment was said in a joking manner. CU got screwed out of a couple baskets today including an and-1 by Shereef and then the technical on bishop was completely BS which kept XU in the game in my opinion.

I don’t think either team played well enough to win, so I guess we’ll take it and move on.

Now we need to figure out how to get Marcus going.
Nebraska by birth, Creighton by choice.

I didn't realize the foul discrepancy, that does look bad... I do remember two awesome and-1's by CU's blossoming Soph. Shereef Mitchell that were called on the floor pre-bonus so those to me were glaring calls that put 4-6 points in X's favor. But yeah, blaming the refs for a loss is a bad look, especially this year!

And Omaha1 your original post had no hint you were joking so if you were then the joke failed! I actually think DudeAnon was making the joke in reply to your post!

I didn't know what to make of the refs. They let a lot go at times but then would call ticky-tack stuff. It seemed like for quite awhile there, they were calling makeup fouls for stuff they missed before and it just became a recurring sequence.

Well, nothing from Mamu today but finally got the Cale and Rhoden we've been waiting for. Maybe one day all 3 of them will be on at the same time.

I just realized DePaul is playing their first game of the season tonight. Meanwhile, I'm bummed that Xavier didn't go up to 9-0.

Role reversal here, it's usually Providence stinking it up with a bad loss to a mid-major and then looking invincible in Big East play, and Butler usually taking care of business at home in the OOC
