Xavier & UConn please break into the top-25 in a hurry, before the non-conf is done.
We need at least 3 tms ranked, due to anti-BEAST bias from the writers.

Not sure a KPom 65 team that's barely escaped beating three mid majors is a team to put your hopes in (not saying we are) but yeah I agree hope somebody else breaks through.

Yeah, I don't see a path for X to break into the polls before conference play starts. Our best shots are UConn and Marquette - nobody else really has a schedule that can make people take notice. Possibly could've added Seton Hall to the list if they pulled out the Louisville game, but that loss makes it tough.

Not buying into MU till I watch the game tonight. They looked decent against a solid veteran Eastern IL team so I'm cautiously optimistic but 2/3 against OK St, UW, and UCLA gets me to buy into this team.

Can't take the cupcakes or mid-majors for granted, especially not this year. The ACC has lost 7 games, the SEC 8 games, and the other P5 conferences are at 2, 4 and 4 losses. We have fewer losses than all but 1 conference.
This year we have half the time to get teams ranked during OOC play, but as long as the conference is strong overall (as it is now) there's no reason we couldn't get a third team ranked by January.
I'm a bit biased as a Johnnies fan, but I absolutely would've signed up for only 3 conference losses by this point. We're fortunate to only have 3.

Losing that Texas Tech game hurts. With it, SJU would've been another team with a path to a ranking before conference play.
