XU's first 2020-21 Game

Welcome to the new world of COVID-19 Big East BB! FWIW, XU's 101-49 victory today over Oakland is not even listed on ESPN's "scores" page. Sigh; I guess that's what you get if your team is not ranked.

FWIW, Freemantle led all scorers with 21, then Tandy with 18, then 3 other Muskies with 10+. Paul Scruggs, team captain, had only 7. Frosh Dwon Odom was the first XU Freshmen since Trevon Bluitt to score in double figures in his first game. Sharpshooter Nate Johnson, an All-Conference transfer from Gardiner-Webb, was 6-10 from 3 point land. Might we be a bit better than the 6th place finish predicted by coaches an most national "experts"? Time will tell.

Because Sandy is freaking AMPED with what went down today.....alcohol/caffeine influenced? Probably. But WTF! That was AWESOME.

Hopefully! My only fear there is that the Big East is (as usual) being underrated preseason and this year we don't have as many OOC opportunities to prove our worth.

Also, that 6th isn't any sort of a knock against X or it's performance today, just waiting for a larger sample size and to see how other teams look (PC looked every bit as good) before reconsidering.
