The downside with transfers in the current environment is now they don't have the summer to begin working together. Learning on the fly during the regular season could make for some bad results.

Eh, last year's team went 12-1 ooc and finished last in the BE. You have much more faith in Leitao than I do, 3 mid-major at best transfers later and they're good to go? I think not.

Well to me I see a lot of star power leaving CU SHU BU and MU. I see a school that has some solid program building guys getting older and I expect that d2 guy to be like Strus. While they landed flat in conference its worth noting the calendar year of 2019 Depaul was 19-12 (not counting CBI tournament). So between the 7-11 record from Spring 2019 and the 12--1 record (With big P6wins) from fall 2019 I do have faith that they can put something together. I think they're emotionally fragile though so I could see my optimism never being realized

DePaul has added some helpful transfers recently (below - 2 of which I believe will play next season, 1 will sit out a year), but the true storyline is the overriding, continued ineptness of leadership and coaching. DePaul has improved their recruiting for the past 2-3 years but it has not led to a decent basketball team. Leitao has struggled at DePaul (and some back at UVA) with winning close games, which is not good. For 2020-21, there is little reason to believe in anything other than finishing 10th-11th. Luckily for Leitao, DePaul has much more patience than UVA. He's an older coach now and he has to show some results in 2020-21 and get his players back on board as a "team". DePaul has to be his last HC chance in a major conference.

Wow. What happened to the Blue Demons?? They got off to such a great start. I believed in Dave Leitao at first but I've officially had enough with him and he's gotta go. I'll be shocked if he stays. It's been a shame to see DePaul struggle for so long. Our league needs to have a good team in the Chicago market.
